Ocean City Maryland - Current Course Conditions

Hi...I've been on work travel to the DC area the last few months and have long weekend coming up, thought I'd drive over to Ocean City, MD to play a few rounds. Interested in current course conditions from locals or other WRX members who have played there recently. Currently have Rum Pointe, Links at Lighthouse Sound and Man O War booked, mostly because it was early to do from the Ruark website, but can easily swap if there is a hidden gem out there. Cost is not an issue but I'd like to stay within 30-45 min of OC where I'm staying. Thanks in advance.

Those courses are good choices. I don't know current conditions.
The Ruark site has maint dates to check.

If you book with Ruark package personnel, they have a discount for booking 3 or more courses.

A little off topic, but is there any compelling reason to play Bear Trap Dunes vs Baywood in the Rehoboth area?

I think most would vote Baywood a better course, but may cost more and be a longer drive, depending where you are driving from.

Baywood prices are ridiculous now. Like 180 for morning tee times. Its still the best course in area except the island fairway hole. And just another side note they are building houses all over Baywood now and they are right on top of course. It sucks.

But this isnt just a Baywood thing all the courses are nuts now. Plantation Lakes is 150, bayside is 200. Even my home

course away from, The Rookery went feom 82 lady season to 100 a round.

I have only played Baywood ans The Rookery. Courses were in good condition but definitely a lot more damp and soft in some spots. Weve gotten a ton of rain this year. Seema like were getting 2-4" of rain weekly.

Thanks. We played Baywood last august - nice condition, nice course. We are looking at $124/round for weekday afternoon, so not terrible.

we played Lighthouse last august as well. Seemed like a great layout but conditions were as you described- soggy in some areas (and burnt out in others). Disappointing for the cost at the time.

we will try rookery this year as well.

I played The Rookery last two weekends and its in great shape. Just a little wet but looks like we should have some dry out time. I love the course but its truly nothing special.

Plantation Lakes is a lot closer to OC and has the best greens in the area. Only downfall is you can only make a tee time 6 days out.
