He majored in physics at SMU. Literally thousands of students per year graduate from college with a similar major. Hell, I took PChem and several other premed classes and literally no one has ever called me a genius. It To my knowledge he never gained an engineering degree.   His self reported IA is 121, roughly around the 90th %-ile.  Well below threshold standards for Mensa Stanford-Binet or Catrell scoring.

This. I was a few courses away from a physics bachelor's (double major) and mostly it's idealized conditions that have little to do with complicated everyday phenomena. Engineering would be closer, but even there the engineering of golf is not something you would come across in undergrad.

At the end of the day, at least DJ never pretends to be anyone other than who he really is. If I had to choose one of em to hangout w/IRL, it would 💯 be DJ.

I'm not sure it has crossed DJ's mind that he could do that. But that's also the same thing Bryson seems to do, so there are a range of results there, lol
