One thing I like about American English is that we simplify things.  No need for the extra syllable in aluminum.  No need for a "u" in color.  ;)

No kidding. And heck if you look at the phones of American teenagers, they no longer need capital letters or punctuation. Sometimes they don't even need vowels (thx for that GenZ). Or for that matter, words. What is the ultimate, almost inevitable end of the trend?

I’m sorry to say I’m a bit disappointed to turn it on, and see beautiful weather. I don’t want it ugly, but some grey sky, a little wind, and guys wearing sweaters was what I was expecting.
