The aesthetics are more inline with the i20/i25 irons, which isn’t a bad thing. Those were great irons and I’m sure these will be great too.

Nice pics! I held the 7-iron in my hands yesterday, and am going to hit them today. Diidn't realize the offset was so much on the 4-iron, which your photo shows.....

If there’s any OEM that has perfected the look of their irons at address, it’s Ping. I don’t know what it is but their irons just look absolutely perfect to my eye, especially the mid and short irons. Great pictures!

Was in one of my local shops yesterday. Put the BP S 7i next to pretty much every OEMs comparable 7i in the address position. BP S was def the best of the bunch to me.

The BP S is absolutely gorgeous. Arguably Ping’s best iron to date imo

They definitely are in my opinion, but the long irons are very scary even though they look so good.  Regular players need not apply...maybe 8-P.

They’re sneaky forgiving for their size but I know what you mean, definitely about as small as a Ping long iron could possibly be. These i240’s would be perfect to blend in with them, just that carbon patch ughhhhh I need to get over it

All their other new lines look like continuations of good cosmetics. These dont do it for me. Im sure they'll perform, because Ping irons usually do, but they give me the anti-fizz.

In every YouTube review I noticed the same clacky sound.  So I went in and hit them in person.  How anyone thinks these feel good is beyond me.  PING casting CAN feel good.  These are the worst feeling  ping-i series iron I've testing, and that includes everything back to the i20/i25.

 

...add in the cavity decoration and it's a hard-pass. (And I'm a PING guy - see my sig)

I’m a ping person also, also per my sig, I’m not sure how anyone says the i2xx series feels good. For me they feel okay and acceptable but overall perform really well. Compared to mizunos I grew up with they do not feel good at all. 
 

can’t wait to try the i240 to see how much bs the YouTube reviewers are pushing re the feel.

Yeah PING castings CAN feel good.  I think the iBlades felt fantastic.  Mizuno will always feel like Mizuno and just different - that a gooey forged feel.

 

I thought the i230 felt decent.  These do not and I don't know why they are so different - even acoustically - from the i230 because they have an elastomer insert and are likely the same casting material.

 

...just goes to show what these club designers are up against.  I've started to think that these YouTube golf influencers have been told by PING to mention the softness, because it seems scripted.  A few talk about how great the carbon looks, and I don't think anyone likes the carbon - again a bit scripted.

 

They performed well - I'll leave it on that optimistic note.

On the majority of the YT vids, fully agree. Trust em as far as I can throw ‘em. 
Moral of the story. Go hit the clubs ur interested in!

After you see enough of these you start learning how to read between the lines.   Reviewers struggle between wanting to preserve their integrity (if nothing to themselves) but they also want to ensure that they keep getting new stuff for content.

 

Often what's not said is at least as key as what is said.

I've played or tried almost everything Ping since Eye 2 and would never look to play Ping based on feel, with the exception of BP. I look to them for performance and if they happen to feel good that would be a bonus.

I must be an outlier on feel, as all the irons I have played in the last 20 years felt butter when flushed.  I have played the i20, iE, i230, MMC-20, 919 Tour, MP-69, W/S blades and have recently acquired a set of 925 Forged.  I agree they do feel different when mishit, some are better with thin shots, but when hit out of the sweet spot with a premium ball, they all feel pretty darn good to me. 

 

Maybe eating a bunch of paint chips as a kid, and watching the food spin around in the microwave too closely has dulled my senses.  I am looking forward to hitting these at some point.

The early reviews I've watched of these online have been extremely underwhelming. And hopefully they sound better in real life.

I had the same impression about the sound, which is horrible. Nothing about these make them seem like an upgrade from the i230.

okay, ducked in a tried the irons, 

 

1. the clubs feel very similar to my i230s when setup exactly the same. (no surprises)

2. they perform very well, (again no surprises)

3. They look nicer in the metal than in photos but i still hate the look

 

While I was there I tried the cobra 3DP Tour and the Apex CB. Farout these two irons feel so nice. 3DP very forgiving, Apex CB I feel would be best off natural grass. 

 

If I upgrade irons I'll be probably going to cobra though I got a few fliers from it... I have to assume it was just trackman being weird because there is no reason for the fliers...

I love Ping irons as well and was hoping these would get good reviews as I was considering picking up set.  I'm not too picky about sound, however, when you said they feel bad, that was the deal breaker.  Not a fan of cast in general, but some metals in general feel better cast than others.  I may have to go with blue print S then.
