Ping i240 Irons! In-Hand Pics!

They look like clunky BPS to me.

Finally got to see them in person, but not hit them.   As others have said, the carbon look is a lot more muted than in photos, but set of 230s on an adjacent display rack does the 240s no favors to my eye.

Nothing you should give any credence to, given the short time I spent.   I was running late and on my way to the register when  I happened to pass by them and had a quick look.  I put them down at address for a quick glance, yup they're Pings in the same way that a lot of brands have a similar look at address.

Still not sold on the looks, I'd dreamt of cast Blueprint S with some kind of sound dampening pocket.

 

Or just blend the i210s and the i200s into one, and have them available 3-LW.

 

The thing with these is folks want them to look sleeker but the BP-S are waving at us from the next rack.

Saw these today and I agree with you. They look super at address, definitely look a little easier to hit than BPS. The carbon strip is really no big deal. Not my favorite look but it would not put me off. These are attractive overall, look like a nice player’s iron.

I would echo these thoughts.  Looks beautiful by the ball and very understated in person.  Didn't really notice the carbon many are not a fan of.  The Nippon 115 pairs nice with them.  They seemed compact and angular, less rounded than their predecessor.

I’m in the camp of I wish they would make the i2xx a bit larger like the i200’s and ie1’s. I feel like ping is encroaching on BP S’s with the size of these. Just me though.  One would say just play the G440’s. I Did. Too much offset 7i on up for me. And didn’t spin enough even in retro lofts.

Was a fitting club, not a set, so I can't say.

Pw has .8 mm or .03” offset. 
UW has .5 mm or .02” offset

Long time i210 player, and maybe it's just me, but I didn't notice anything significantly different in feel & sound.  Performance numbers were similar too.  Yeah they're not a forged blade, duh.  Like a lot of others I dislike the look on the rack but I think they look really good at address.  I can get over the back badge and will likely end up with a BP S - i240 blended set.
