Club Horder?

Hello, my name is nessism, and I'm a (Ping Wedge) hoarder.

 

My proclivity leans towards the original Glide and Glide 2.0 wedges, many the Stealth 2.0.

 

At present, I have 5 60 degrees, 3 54's (bent to 55), and 2 50's.  Many of these are NOS, or close.  I also bought a bunch of spare graphite wedge shafts, because I always switch to those.

 

I like these because of the rounded top line shape.  The newer Ping's have jumped the shark and gone pear shaped, which I don't like.

 

These wedges, the chrome plated stainless steel version in particular, are also super durable.  It makes no sense whatsoever for me to have so many wedges, since they don't wear out very fast.

This is a safe place, right?  Same for me with Miura wedges.  Specifically these 2... 54 and 57c (at 58).  I like the straight leading edge and higher toe. Nothing round.  

 

I'm up to 6 of each and 4 gap wedges.

What you are calling a "personality flaw", some of the old timers here would call "qualified and worth paying attention to" on WRX. 😂🏌️‍♀️

You are nowhere near a hoarder.  A couple of years ago, I had about 25 wedges.  Whittled it down to about 10 (literally gave them away), but last year I went on a binge and bought 6.  Damn those new wedges are expensive and I was buying them at PUD.  Can't imagine buying at retail.  Only new acquisitions this year are a Wedge Works A+ 60º and a Srixion 5 wd (traded 2 wedges, a 7 wd and $$ so it was a net win).  Getting antsy again. 

 

Edit:  went and counted... I have 19 assembled and 2 heads.  Now there are a few of those that are legacy clubs and never will see the light of day again, but I still have them (just in case).

Unfortunately, my hoarding consists of putters, MB irons, wedges, staff bags, some drivers/fwys, shoes etc.  I guess pretty much anything related to golf.

Ha!  Maybe I'm not doing so bad after all!

10 wedges?  I just gave more than 40 hickory shaft clubs, woods and irons, to a group that is starting in CT.  I loved playing with them 12 years ago, but at 72 they require too much back strength to play often.

 

I'm all graphite except the putter these days.
