Stack & Tilt Half Day Class w/ Andy Plummer

On the fence about signing up for one of these. It’s a 5 hour class and I’m told you’ll have about an hour of one on one with Andy Plummer and the other time will be spent outlining stack and tilt and working with two local instructors while he’s working with the other two people (classes limited to 3 people). 
 

Has anyone attended one of these? How was it?

i went to a 1/2 day SnT practice session earlier this year, with David Taraschi and Steve Sieracki, not Plumber 

 

i used to work with a SnT instructor a few years back (he moved) so i was pretty familiar - for whatever reason everyone else in my session cancelled and i basically had lesson with Tarashi for 4 hours 

 

i'd been wanting to do one of these for awhile and this one lined up nicely for me - i had a great time, and i've been super pumped up about it

 

I'd highly recommend - they basically worked with me on what they felt like what was my biggest swing fault and a couple other things that were secondary

 

made sure i went home with exactly what to work on

@Lefty_3Jack No experience, but recalled seeing Saguto with Plummer  in case you haven't seen this.     Not sure if this was filmed before or after Tom became a world-renowned instructor.

Off topic, but the shots at 10:58, 11:25, 12:06, and 12:49 are exactly why I constantly harp on learning to hit shots with that half swing punch position. When you cut down the length of the swing you remove all the extra time to compensate for doing things poorly, in Saguto's case his really poor path going back that gets him stuck massively inside and swinging out to right field. Remove the time to compensate for the bad backswing and he's a 25hdcp hitting the same toe shank basically four times in a row. Thankfully looking at his more recent content this was something he addressed largely in his own swing.

Give the guy a break! He's trying to unlearn the smother hook he's been teaching people all this time. He doesn't mind teaching it, but he doesn't want to actually do it himself. My favorite is when he hits a trapped diving 7 iron on his channel and says, "Wow, that was crispy!"

what does "trapped" or "trappy" mean? you're always saying that

Handle way forward with an obscenely steep AOA…..and big trench left behind…..and wrist surgery later.

I get that he’s not for everyone, but when I was lost watching him saved me. To each his own.

Seguto’s closed face at P6 is legendary, but if you hit a scoopy slice and can’t pressure left…..he will take you to the promised land.

After a really unfortunate 8 year stretch where I got hurt pretty bad at least once a year all on my right side, I couldn’t move back into the ball after my takeaway. I’d shift away and basically stay there, so for me he helped.

I knew a teacher in Florida 10-12 years ago, when someone asked him about Stack & Tilt he said "Stack and Tilt is a great system...if you're a war veteran with an amputated leg."
