What balls do people find easiest to spot on the course? (Apologies if already asked.)

I've been using the Vice green balls and really like them, then saw an ad that the Vice orange are easier to see. That got me to wondering: is there a color people use that genuinely does make it easier to spot in the fairway or rough? Seems there are a million different colors and shades at this point, and while I prefer performance, I prefer finding my ball more.

Thoughts? Bonus if the ball performs well (i.e. a ball that is a quality ball and doesn't experience a dropoff due to the color.)

But yourself a sleeve of orange, yellow, red, combo colors and prints and hit em on sunny and cloudy days. You'll figure it out.

I see the yellow and black  Callaway soccer balls the best, but not a fan of anything Callaway.

White is easiest to see for me.  That said, I play yellow more often than not.

First hole at my local course is next to the driving range, and the fairway is littered with white range balls.  I use yellow there for sure!  Most of my friends play white also, so my using yellow speeds up finding my ball.

Green, looks too much like grass.  Orange, not too bad, but harder to see from a distance.  Red, another step down in visibility.  All my opinion, of course.

I like Titleist Velocitys, and sometimes I buy a box of green ones. Hard to explain, but I feel like they fly a bit further. Sadly still too ugly to play in tournaments and not interested to be looking for a green ball in green rough.

Currently playing:

Stealth 2: 9° Plus, 3HL, 4H, 6H all on Ventus Red 5/6/7 stiff

Stealth: 6i - AW on Nippon Pro Modus 105 stiff

MG3: 56°, 60° on Nippon Pro Modus 105 stiff

Evnroll ER2B

Messing aroung with:

Stealth 5i, Qi10 Max 9° on Ventus blue stiff, Stealth UDI 17° stiff, Ping Prime Tyne 4 PLD, Cobra Nova-30 Vintage, Spoiler OG

l like yellow golf balls.  I'm now playing Titeleist AVX, as my DT Trusofts are being phased out for a ball with more green side spin.

I play a 9 hole course near a range.  At this time of year it has a lot of white clover which makes it hard to find white golf balls.

I'm pretty good at tracking yellow balls in the air and finding them in the rough.

Played with a guy yesterday who was using red balls. Couldn't see them for a lick.

And there’s some orange leaning to red, can’t see them either.  In fact I have trouble seeing orange generally.   People see colors differently.

I found a Gold Chromax M5 75 compression 2 piece in the trees recently.  They have a gold metallic finish and easy to spot.  They are pricey. https://chromaxgolf.com/pages/about-the-ball

This week, Vice returned the Pro Plus Gold 100 compression 4 piece urethane to production about same price per ball as the Chromax Gold.  https://www.vicegolf.com/golf-balls/vice-pro-plus-gold

I accidentally hit a red ball I thought was mine yesterday.  It was in the shade and I was playing a pink ball.  Looked in the forest and couldn't find it, though I did find a Pro V1.

I have trouble finding balls hit into deep shade where the grass doesn't grow.  I need to avoid those areas of the golf course.

Pink/red is easy to see on the fairway.  I don't see them in the air.

There are some shots where I can't see anything in the air because the  light is so bad.  I ought to switch to my pink balls for those shots.

I see yellow better than white in flight and on the ground in the summer. When winter hits and the fairways go dormant I switch to orange.

I'm a fan of the yellow Mizuno RB 566s or RB Max. No issues with seeing them until they drop down below the surface of the rough, but nothing can be seen when that happens.  As someone mentioned above, in a hazy light condition, I have trouble picking up any ball's flight.

Are you gents color blind by any chance? I have a pretty bad protanomaly, which is known commonly as "red-green colorblind". Which for me means I could lose a red ball... On the green.

I have one buddy who often will play a matte red supersoft, and I have walked within a foot of it in the fairway and not even realized it was there...

As for OP, I personally find yellow to be the easiest to see. I've also found it really easy to see either white or yellow Callaway with the TruVis patterns, but I don't play them personally.

Yellow for me, easiest by far.  Some of the bright orange balls are pretty easy too, like the Srixon Soft Feels.  But I find matte orange a little more difficult.

I tried some bright pink Trust balls, and I really struggled to find them.  I also had some short pink tees, and it was so difficult to find them after teeing off, and they flung 5-10' away.  Thought I was going crazy.

Gotta say two things make a ball easier to find:

- White or yellow

- Shiny, not matte

For the first point, my regular gamer is the Z-Star Divide, which is easy to follow in the air and find on the ground.

I've found orange balls actually pretty easy to track in the air, but they do like to hide in the rough, especially with a matter finish.  Nice to have a little light reflect off the ball helping to locate it.
