I couldn’t disagree more on the black shaft.  So happy they went chrome shafts on these.  9.2R on the way, stoked.

Trying to resist so hard on ordering the 9.2r. Anyone seen or suspect what the toe hang degree is?

I would think its close to a plumbers neck Newport, the description says the neck is closer to the heel so that should give it more. Titleist’s website lists the 9.2r as “medium” toe hang which is the same thing the regular Newport is listed at.

if it’s the same toe hang as the 5.2, definitely less than a Newport.

This is what’s so great about this sport, unlike a lot of people I’m pumped about the black head and chrome shaft. The contrast is fantastic. Can’t wait for my 9.2r and throw on a Iomic pistol grip 😀

Probably has something to do with the neck being closer to the heel. Kinda of a bummer for me if it’s not closer to 45 as I would prefer it, but as long as it’s not as close as the h24 is. Kinda annoying how Scotty seems to pick and choose when he lists toe hang on his website for putters, and then the Titleist listings seem to be off on some putters for toe hang.

That may not be the best toe hang picture based on how the putter is being held between fingers, which could alter the toe hang. With that said though, I don’t think it will be more than a Newport.

Big Cameron fan, I own several including a couple of special additions from previous years. These look great, but are they special enough to warrant £729 when they don’t have black shaft etc? I can get a MySpider in all black with black shaft and aluminium or surlyn insert for £350, both have grooves but the spider is half the price.
 

IMO they don’t do enough to justify the price, these could easily have just been next years phantom models as it’s only the milling on the current select putter across the face in black with a different grip. As much as I love them I’ll hang fire to see if that milling becomes standard at the next refresh as my coach is struggling to sell them and still carries last years B3 and champions choice as they weren’t popular.

The fact that you can still buy these on the Titleist website tells me that these are not very limited at all. Flippers got stuck hard with the B3 and GoLo 6.2 line so that has killed some sales as well.

Not an exact answer, but the limited H24 last year is listed as "Mid" toe-flow, which also matches the Newport. I would guess this version is similar based on that, but I don't know how much stock I put in that though. 

 

It'd be great if the listed degrees instead of a range like, "Mid".

The Titleist site also lists the 5.2 as medium toe flow and the 5.5 as near minimum which is clearly not the case.

Grabbed one as well, moved on from the L neck Spyder for the 9.2R. Excited because this checks every box for shape, neck and finish for me. The chain link isn’t my favorite look but has good feel when I played with the limited release last fall (moved on because the head shape wasn’t for me). Mine comes in Wednesday so quick turnaround

I woke up to an email that my 5.5 is scheduled for delivery today. 

 

Edit: UPS just delivered. Very happy with the way this looks! The black finish and the site line looks so much better than the original. I will report back on feel vs my 5.2 after I get a chance to roll some putts this evening.

 Wow, I was told by Titleist that all pre orders are to ship on 7/24. You are lucky. I did get a GT3 hybrid week after release. I guess I used my luck there...

So you can't customize weights, length or lie angle on these at all from titleist? Would love to get the 9.2r, but will ultimately spend more money getting it to my specs and at $750 that's a tough pull to swallow.

I'm not going to add anything to the table beyond all of the pics that have already been posted. I also have a 9.2R inbound. Not sure which will make the cut but I have never been a fan of the matador grip so that will have to go. The 5.5 feels really good. The chain link milling is definitely softer than the standard Phantom milling.

just my opinion , have a 6.2 which I think was the first with the chain milling , don’t hold me to that , but I think you will be pleasantly surprised on performance and feel

Got my 9.2r in today, feels great just rolling the basement but I actually like the shape much more than the Spider Tour I was gaming with the aluminum face. It’s a responsive feel with the TP5X and had a nice audible feedback. Neck wise it’s a touch longer than the taylormade l neck but has really nice flow for my putting stroke. 
 

I have a round/practice this weekend for real green but have high hopes this performs well and is an enjoyable gamer
