Grant Horvat not playing in the Barracuda

Recommended Posts

A little research says he’s getting about $25 per 1k views, which is top dollar, and that he’s making a little over $600k  annually from his channel.  Add sponsorships, round it up to $1 million.  Be generous and round it to $2 million.  Deduct all the operating, travel, costs, etc.  Say $1.5 - $1.75 million a year.  Decent money for a guy, but not generational wealth and totally immaterial from a business/league standpoint.  And way less than the fanboys typically assume.

A sports league worth north of $15 billion isn’t gonna bend to the whims of a guy like this.

He is making several million a year playing golf. More than the Korn Ferry players.

No he’s making a couple mil a year filming himself playing schnitz and giggles golf as a media personality.  Great gig.  Irrelevant to the PGA Tour.

These guys are the Kardashians of golf.

He is making 3.5 to 4.5 mil a year roughly. You obviously dont really know and googled it and just typed in the format article that came up which is exactly what you posted. He is making 300k roughly a month roughly from all the social media sites.

do you have to be an accountant to do basic math ;}

No, but you would but his accountant might be reasonable accurate when speaking to his income vs people using general estimations to determine someone’s income……

it would be one thing if grants income was via publish contracts.  Trying estimate based off social media views and sites like social blade is about as accurate as pulling a number out of….

Personality. Charisma. A person that draws you in on their character alone.

you do know that youtube tries to show you stuff thats similar to what youve watched so if your not seeing 'personalities' its not cause they dont exist its cause you dont watch enough of that content for youtube to consider feeding you more.

Fair enough. Please enlighten me the names of some of these golf youtubers that aren't as bland as a cardboard cutout...thanks in advance. 😜

There are plenty of guys in the podcast/social media realm that have talked about it. The general public is pretty naive to the money these guys are pulling. We dont know what money he is making off his 1 companies also.

Are they his accountants?

it’s just a bunch of speculation…..

They are all guesses.

he probably makes more money than most people.  Whether a that’s 500k - 4 million.

what we do know is YouTube money in 2025 isn’t what it was in 2020, and sure as heck isn’t what it was in 2015.  The people that make a ton of money off content are the streamers on platforms other than YouTube.

All this to say, we nobody here knows…..

Sponsor money is personal, it’s not media rights money.   Also, define ‘a lot’, because to an entity such as the PGA Tour, $5 mil a year is a rounding error.

The typical YouGoober doesn’t have multimillion dollar endorsement deals.  They only get the YT monetization revenue, which is chicken feed.  It may be a decent gig for a person to get by on, but it’s not millions and millions of profit.

He’s like the upper echelon of earnings and his cash is brand deals, sponsors, etc.   he’s also not worth near as much as his brand as he broke it down and was basically reinvesting millions back into the content creation.

Not your typical YouTuber.

The house ain't speculation. It's public record.

And yes, the kid's legal name is Stephen Grant Horvat.

This proves he makes somewhere between 500k per year and 16836044 billion dollars.

Now that is established, what’s next?  Can we try to figure out his annual cost of teeth whitening products?  Or maybe we should guess how many fishing trips he takes a month?  Toilet paper or bidet?

so many more interesting things to squabble over

Yet, how many times have you posted in this thread?

Whether you or anyone else likes him, doesn't like him, watches him, doesn't watch him, the kid's just 26 and clearly doing great for himself. Good for him. Why does it have to be any more complicated than that?

I agree, which is why I said let’s stop making up number of his income to prove his worth.

He creates content, he’s good enough at it to buy a 2.5 million dollar house.  That doesn’t mean he provides anything meaningful of value to the pga tour…..

he’s also an avid fisherman, with really white teeth who has a nice house (which may or may not have a bidet).  That’s why I threw those things out there as more interest  than pulling number out of a hat than his net worth 🙂
