Who’s being a skeptic of the creators?  Can’t people separate what they do from what happened in this situation?  This issue had nothing whatsoever to do with creator content and everything to do with an individual handling a situation poorly and then playing the victim.  The factor that he’s a YT creator is almost entirely irrelevant to the story.

 

YT golf has a place in the golf ecosystem. Nothing wrong with it at all.  It’s just not PGA Tour golf and someone in the YT ecosystem expecting he was going to dictate terms to the Tour is/was laughable.  One can hold this opinion and still have no problem with the YouGoobers.

Why is he with Rory here? Because they’re both connected to Taylormade. This is Taylormade marketing to you, and Grant trying to hit numbers. As soon as Grant’s club company makes drivers, you will no longer see this.

If a 20 minute video of instructional interaction with Rory McIlroy, a Hall of Fame golfer and arguably the top driver, if not player, of his generation, 

 

isn’t good golf content that’s beneficial to golfers and golf fans

 

then what is?

Well Rory’s got about 7 different videos out there with different people saying the same thing he says to Grant.  
 

grant audience is probably by far the youngest.  So it does get more pre teen to teen eyeballs on it

I pushed for my kids to get into golf. They didnt love it to addiction. They were happy playing a handleful times a year shooting a million. Fast forward to this year and my kids are addicted and playing all the time. I love it and I wondered how did that happen? Some of it is just growing up and their buddies have started playing more. A lot of that is the YouTube golf and Horvat is a big part of that. They all watch him. He is a good role model for them too so I dont have any issue with him like those on here that seem to be jealous of him.

oddly enough takoma is considerably cheaper than normal brands however i dont think theyre actually selling to people that would not be playing golf due to high cost of clubs, as in actually growing the game. instead i think they sell mostly to people that want to buy newer equipment but dont want to spend 1k plus to renew their bag every 5ish years.
