We need good news too.  Since he won’t brag himself, I’ll brag for him.  @Sean124 shot a career low.  He swings neatly 120 mph with driver at 43 with 2 joint replacements and is proof it’s almost never about physical limitation.

I shot 64 at the same course a couple years ago. I hit 13 GIR and the hole looked like a trash can that day. 
 

I hit 17 GIR today. I’m a much more consistent ball striker now.

I’m a +3.6 after today. Things really started to click a few months ago and the cap keeps trending down.

-8 par 71, but yeah. The more exciting thing is it’s starting to show up in tournaments. 
 

I shot 5 under in the first round of the state mid-am. I took a +6.7 (eventual winner) to the 18th hole of the AGA match play. What has eluded me so far is stringing 3-4 good rounds together in the bigger tournaments, but I’m getting closer.

Thanks, yeah it was the back tee. I tend to land it in the face of that hill and it stays there, but there was a little breeze and it flew up top. Holed a sand wedge.

I had really started to come to terms with all the normal struggle sessions on this forum where people wallow in the cold harsh reality of getting better at this game. At least I could be of some help by bouncing around to different threads to give people their last rites…..but now this has showed up and started to create a spark of entirely too much false hope. I’m feeling very uncomfortable now and I must leave.
