Ping g440 Fairwaywood - LST vs Max

Hi
So ive been looking at a new 5 wood. Currently have a 7 wood and would like to add a 5 wood
I would like a 3 wood, but never been very good friends with lower loftet fairway woods
All the reviews ive read/seen has the LST as the higher launching wood ? I always thought the Max was suppose to be the higher launching wood ?
Im mainly gonna be using it off the tee
Any suggestions ?

Ping g440 max 4 wood has been money for me. Deeper face and easy to launch.

MAX won't necessarily launch higher but it should spin more simply due to slightly design difference between the two and increased MOI.

Plus, it comes with a 3 wood length shaft and can be adjusted to a 5W. Equally easy from tee or fairway or light rough. 👍🏻👍🏻

Having hit both in 3, 4 and 5 wood I would advise against the LST if you already have trouble hitting low loft woods. The LST may potentially launch higher but the Max will most likely peak higher. The Max 3 was consistently 250 for me and the 5 was consistently 230. I did end up going back to my G425 LST 3 because it has greater distance potential which is what I prioritize at 3 wood. But if you want something consistent off the tee go Max unless you hit down and across on it alot and need to shed spin.

If you struggle hitting 3 wood, stay away from the LST. Not that its a bad club, but your better off with the max that flies high and straight consistently. LS fairways woods in general work better for tee shot optimization, unless you loft them up to compensate.

Even in tour bags, the max is widely preferred, even players with high swing speeds that spin the ball a lot.

My personal experience is that I much prefer lower spinning driver heads, and a higher spinning fairway head to get the gapping to work
