Sore Callus

This year I made a promise to play more, like 1-2x/week but I do practice at the range 5/week.

I noticed that the callus on my finger joints specially my right hand side are becoming harder and sore when I play.

I bought a callus dremmel to sand paper them down and they felt a lot better , but now when I go hit balls those areas are now very tender and a little sensitive.

(I love my UtX cord grips, so I don't wanna change)

I was hoping I don't need to buy a bunch of band aid to protect them,

so what can I do? =\

Any one has a trick that I'm not aware of?

Stop sanding them down. It will cause a reaction and make it worse. I suggest less range time and more chipping/putting. Make the chipping/putting a 3 X a week instead of full shots. Take some time off as well. Too much is not good.

I use a Dremel on my dogs' toenails, lol, and on things that aren't my hand. On a callous? Yikes. I get one on my ring finger on the right hand, usually have it taped with some medical tape when I play but it grows anyway then . . . . . I just bite it down and it starts over.

Bands aids not a better choice over a simple roll of 1" Johnson and Johnson white medical bandage tape, wrap around 1-2 times then go pound some more dirt.

I just wrap some athletic tape on the callus's on the two middle fingers on my right hand that are pretty big and sore before a round. Sanding them down helps, but they come right back, And if you sand them down too much, they get really tender. So, I just try to manage them as best I can.

If you practice and play a lot that's just the price you pay.

I always say if your hands don't look like Alex Noren's you're fine. LOL!!
