Favorite OTS Scotty Cameron of all time

I know there have been other posts like this in the past, but I wanted to spark up some conversations and interest in this modern era.
I just got into the Scotty game not long ago and I have now purchased 4 of them (it’s a slippery slope)- Studio Stainless Newport 2.5, Studio Stainless Newport Beach 1.5, 2000 Pro Platinum Mid Slant and 2020 Special Select.
So far, my favorite is the Studio Stainless Newport 2.5 with Mid-size Matador grip. The Newport Beach 1.5 I plan to send off to the Scotty Shop for a touch up, but my initial impressions are overall good, but perhaps it sounds a little pingy to me with the sound slot (I just got it so I am undecided on it so far).
These are the first flow necks I’ve ever played and albeit a small sample size, I have to say I prefer them so far over a plumbers neck or mid slant so far.

What is your favorite Scotty and why?

None. Tried a few, never could get comfortable with their weight. Sold them all off and never looked back. You do realize this section is about vintage clubs, right? 😉

I'm not a big Cameron fan, but I've somehow racked up five of them.

They're all older models; for me, the time when Cameron putters genuinely were top drawer stuff, quality-wise as well as just price-wise. The older ones have a cachet and a quality feel to them that the more recent ones don't have, in my opinion.

Of them all, the original gun blue-finished Newport is my favourite. I've also got a Mil Spec Newport which has seen significant bag time over twenty-odd years, and I occasionally go back to one of a couple of Newport TEI3s that I like and consider to be fine putters.

Not my tea. The premium / mark up model is antithetical to how I look at golf gear. Nothing I can't do with a sub $30 older Ping.

no favorites....don't care for them. I recieved one in trade for a couple of fishing reels, love to sell it off. I'm more interested in his design of the Gen2 Ray Cook Blue Goose putter (I think he also designed the Gen2 Ray Cook Billy Baroo putter)...I have both.
Other than that...as far as I'm concerned, they're just a Ping Anser copy or modification, no interest or desire

@SnowbirdTom some of his putters might be considered "vintage" cuz they're over 25years old...

Yeah, I know about the SC bullseyes. 😉

He listed four early to mid 2020 models in his post and referred to modern age models. 😁

Oh yeah I forgot about those...I was thinking of his Gen2 Ray Cook designs

.I have even less interest in bullseyes (except the 1 pat pending John Reuter & the patent John Reuter pre Acushnet bullseye - tho, I sell them if offered a decent price), kinda like the 8802 putters (they're just another flanged putter & I'd offer all the flanged putters I have to a good home for postage or so)

Only one model was 2020, the rest were 2000-2004. Moderators could move to the correct location if this is incorrect.
I appreciate all the responses thus far though!
I’m surprised by the nods against Cameron’s so far.
I have actually liked the 330 g weight of the studio stainless and Newport Beach surprisingly. The 2020 special select feels much heavier.

I'm surpriesed you're surprised....this is the "vintage" sub-forum, while some may play a "modern" set, they also have a "vintage" set. There is an "equipment" sub-forum where they seem to rave & rant on the modern stuff & there is a "putter" sub-forum where I'm sure that many rave & rant on the Cameron stuff.

What deterimnes "vintage"? I'd make a guess that we all here have a different defination. Mine is basically over 25 years old, & I actually have the year 1993 at my starting year.

So those 2000 - 2004 would either just becoming into the Vintage age in 2000 & any later than that, have to "mature" 😂 more.

Stick around...go out and find a 1930 era Spalding KroFlite Robert T Jones Jr pyratone sheathed steel shaft Calamity Jane putter & play on SC's vs the blade of Calamity Jane. Have some fun.....but I wouldn't expect many to join in conversations about modern clubs/putters.

As you can see you hit a sore spot here. I can’t/don’t speak for others but I kinda suspect opinions stem from a couple things. He copied and refined the most successful design (like many others have). Worse yet he really helped to usher in the eyebrow raising golf club price era. Unfortunately prices aren’t even eyebrow raising anymore, it’s become the norm.

I am a closeted Scotty fan. I appreciate his craftsmanship and materials he uses. Only have one, an early 2000’s Pro Platinum Newport mid slant. I adjusted to it instantly and bagged it for quite awhile. I still prefer it over just about any of his modern ones. Moderns might be better, more consistent across the face but I love the feeling of mine when you hit the sweet spot. Similar to buttoning an old iron. Nice little extra pop to it. Could be the face milling on the moderns deadening things a bit idk.

Rarely play mine anymore cuz I’ve fallen in love with Napa’s. Occasionally I try searching out Napa Scotty’s only to get highly discouraged. Think $600 is the cheapest I’ve ever seen one for. Usually $1400-2500 and no way in hell would I ever pay that even if I had deep pockets.

More power to the Scotty guys though cuz they seem to be quite collectible.
