Quick Vokey Question

Been searching around on the interwebs.  Is it true the SM10 iteration is Vokeys largest to date?   Heel to Toe / Face topline to sole etc, and just basic overall dimensions?

Not sure about the heel to toe length, but the SM5 looked the largest at address IMHO.

It's funny, the SM5's have always looked biggest at address to me too.  Even though, when I compare them side-by-side with other vokey series, they are essentially the same size.  Must be something subtle about the shaping. The tour chrome SM-5's look especially huge.  

 

Unfortunately, I don't think vokey publishes the dimensions for each series.

my only reasoning is I currently game the SM5s, and each iteration seems like a smaller head at address, however "supposedly" the SM10s are the largest to date.   🤷‍♂️

The SM5 and SM6 did look rather big due to the sole being wider versus the SM3 and SM4 models ...

I know for a fact my SM10 46 is smaller than my old SM6 46

Says who?

 

Titleist says the footprint/profile of the lower lofted SM10s are smaller relative to the higher lofted SM10s - so differences among the wedges.  

 

They don't stand out to me as anything larger than previous and I've had most, but not all, of the models.

I have played a mix of SM5 and SM10 all of this year and there's no noticeable difference in size, feel, playability. The biggest differences are the satin finish and the fresh grooves.

doubtful, the trend is more compact at address for irons & wedges. Truth be told, unless your a connoisseur you probably won't notice much between them unless you're looking at side-by-side. SM8,9,10 pretty much look the same to my eye.

whatever the difference is it'll take you only a few rounds to get used to the new head.  Changes have been very subtle for the past couple decades.

That's funny...for some reason I had in my head that the SM6 always felt the smallest of the last several gens to me.  That said, they were the only ones I had in the black finish, so it may have been my eyes playing tricks on me.  

 

Also, I have mentioned this in other Vokey threads before, but if you feel like off the rack Vokeys look a little chunky (I personally do), then I cannot recommend enough doing their custom grind option and getting the Tour Grind.  It shrinks the overall appearance of the head significantly.  I still remember opening my first set of Tour Grinds from them (the SM8s).  I grabbed the PW first and looked down at it and was like "holy sh&t that looks great."  Just takes material off in all the right places and gives it a much more compact and appealing appearance.  Their hand ground program is just levels above what anyone else can do.  I have owned probably 10 of their hand ground wedges, and they do an amazing job.  And for lefties, it's the only way to get certain offerings.  For example, no A+ grind offered for lefties, but I just asked them to make me one out of an M grind - no problem at all.  A little pricey I guess, but who's counting? 😆

I have a sm5 58 k and sm10 58 d. Next to one another, the 10 looks bigger.

I am inpatiently waiting for my wedge works 54 (53) d grind with smooth grind option. My first custom.

 

I'd love a v grind. They said order M and request V. Tempting

Smooth grind is awesome.  That’s what my A+ is.  And so cool that they can basically made you whatever you want for $70 extra.  To me that’s not pricey at all for what you get.

I really hope it shows up here in the next day or 2.  Playing a nice course Sunday - would love to give it the maiden voyage there.

She is here and she is a beaut!  SM10 54d (bent to 53) with smooth grind lines.  They really did a good job with the polishing can barely see the OG grind and ribbon.  Maiden voyage sunday 8am EST and one of Cincy's nicer tracks.
