Why am I so steep?

My theory is that I need 1) more lead wrist flexion (or trail wrist extension), and 2) more ulnar deviation, both at & shortly after transition. And maybe a bit more feeling like my arms work down rather than across my body. AKA keep grinding my NTC drills and working on what happens from Cast A to P6. I can see a pretty nice & shallow swing when I do that and just do short 7i swings at 50% speed.

 

My question is whether that actually seems like the correct protocol or if I'm just totally missing something else that I'm doing that's a bigger problem.

The majority of it how your hips and legs are working .you might have taken the no turn part too literally as your right hip never turns back and around. Your right leg loses all flexion rather than some

and you never regain it in the downswing

Upper to lower body alignments are incorrect at p1 (head closer to target than tailbone).  As you maintain those relationships and move linear p1-p2 youre unable to utilize a pivot to complete the backswing.  Start by getting your tailbone and head on top of one another and centered between your heels.  May have to adjust ball position and grip to allow for this.

More like this? This feels like a super exaggerated squat move but I definitely notice how the clubhead seems to want to shallow on its own in transition when I do it.

It's too armsy. You gotta incorporate more shoulder turn in the backswing so you don't swing across your feet so much. That's why the club is steep. You just dont have enough room to drop the arms.
