To summarize, Hazeltine is really only interested in hosting majors. 3m also stepped up when TPC Twin Cities was first conceptualized to play sponsor for a Champions Tour event on the condition that as sponsors dropped, they'd get the option to host a PGA Tour event (at TPC). They passed on a few events including a FedEx playoff event because they preferred a full field event (easier for sponsors to make their money back with a full field) and a few others that didn't fit their preferred scheduling window. Then, of course, the PGA Tour shuffled up the schedule anyway and they got the short end of that stick (event used to be one of the last ones on the schedule for guys to quality for The Open, IIRC). TPC Twin Cities is a decent track. Arnold Palmer and Tom Lehman did the initial design and Tom's group (with notes left by Arnold) finished the redesign for the 3m Open. The course needs wind to present a challenge to these guys though. When it's soft and there is no wind, the course is essentially defenseless. 3 1 Quote Qi10 LS 9 Ventus Blue+ 6x | Qi10 Tour 15, Ventus Red+ 8x TI P770 2 | P7MC 3-5, P7MB 6-9 / Miura 1957 4-9, $-Taper 125 TI MG3 46, 50, 54, $-Taper 125 | TI MG3 58 / HT 58, KBS Tour 120 SS Mann Mini / Cameron CT, MC Smooth | TP5x | My (old) WITB Thread

bcjim
Should be good unfortunately the Tour is once again unnecessarily and irritatingly teeing people off too early. Attention Jay: I get done golfing around 6 typically at which time I park myself at the tv to watch the finish of the week's tour event. Ideally, i like to see 5 or 6 holes. That won't work well for me if the event is already finished or nearly finished because leaders teed off at 12:35. Thanks, Your friend, bcjim Cc:nbc, cbs,tgc Edited July 27 by bcjim

Thanks, Your friend, bcjim Cc:nbc, cbs,tgc I don’t watch a lot of side of majors so this doesn’t bother me. However, since most these guys have to travel and get to the next course, it makes sense they have earlier times for the leaders on sundays. A bummer for fans bits it’s logistics. It’s why most baseball games are early afternoon games on sundays. Supposed to be some pretty major storms in the Twin Cities today, especially north metro (where TPC is).
