Fitting in a week- irons I must try?

I've got a fitting in a week. I used to shoot mid 70s back in my teens, now at 32 taking the game back up. I am going to a reputable fitter at a top tier course with an outdoor fitting and a full tour trailer. My short list is

ZXI-5

T250

i240

Currently gaming zx7 ii's but I want something more forgiving and higher launching. I hit a friends ZX5's and they were very, very nice. Anything else I am missing that is a 'must try'? Cobra 3dp? I don't think he carries Cobra so that may be difficult at the fitting.

Thats a good starting point. Id try 2 of those 3. I prefer irons that I can get on with when it comes to front to back dispersion. No hot spots or erratic yardages. Ive gamed my Srixon 565/765 combos since they came out because of this - I know how far they go when I hit the shot. Predictable and accurate. You might consider a Srixon combo - Ive always thought they play more forgiving that what the series is (7 is more 'players' but is super forgiving in my hands while the 4 series looks clunky to me and I struggle). Im a fan of the V sole too. Works for me.

Titleist are also great, Ive hit them. Worthy of testing.

Might I also suggest Mizuno hot metal and/or hot metal pro. I have a pro 4i that I LOVE. I look forward to pulling that one out of the bag lol.

Never been a Ping guy but I cannot refute the brand and performance.

I think it is better to trust the fitter and not bias the results by what you think should be best. Most of us only have a limited number of good swings and can't afford to waste them on clubs that have little chance of going into our bag.

It’s okay to have a short list and some ideas about you might want if you are realistic about what tickles your fancy. An open mind is key though.

I haven't hit them but seems to be a decent amount of love here for the new Mizuno JPX 925 Forged irons. Similar niche as those mentioned here already.

Players and players distance in that list. But agree, let the fitter give you a few to try and think shaft is a big part in today’s fittings.

You probably will not see the best imo irons out there. Look at PXG offerings in players and players distance irons. Most fitters can't get them. Premium irons and worth it.
