Mizuno Pro 2026 Lineup

Recommended Posts

Anyone in the know aware of an imminent new release of the Pro series?

I was thinking of ordering the 243 but if there is a new model around the corner  I would rather wait and see.

Thanks in advance

Sorry, I’m just so confused as to which iron is replacing what now.  Who’s on first…what’s on second….

The new mizuno pro lineup to be announced this fall will have replacement irons for the 243 and 245. The signature line is on a separate release schedule so noone knows when the S2 and S4 will be announced.

I cannot imagine there will exist an S1, S2, S3, S4, a 243 replacement, and a 245 replacement. That seems like a ton of overlap.

Seems very confusing.

Is that 9 retail sets and a few more tour only sets? I can’t keep track 🤪

*I know for certain Cally provided the balls for Happy Gilmore 2! They were one close up shy of having to give it top billing over Adam! 😂

This morning, Mizuno Golf JP posted the announcement/info on the 2026 line will release on 8/21/2025. I’ve been checking religiously.

https://jpn.mizuno.com/golf/mizunopro/teaser

do they usually release the same irons in Japan and announce them first before they do in the US? not sure what their normal pattern is of announcements.

I think that happened with the last MP line. Might have been November release in Japan and then Feb release in US.

I am mixed on it. I paid for the full bag fitting and the extra to have the clubs built on site. They were out of stock on all woods and hybrids, so that did not happen. In addition to that, the fitter is also the builder. He is awesome, but was so far behind he could not build my irons on site. They did give me a credit back towards my irons, and would have even if I did not buy. They should not be selling services they cannot deliver on. I drove 4 hours to get there and drove right past the Kingdom at Reynolds Plantation on the way.

All that being said, the iron fit was the best I have ever had. The shaft optimizer saves time and is accurate. The fitter that I had listened to me and communicated well. He educated me a lot on the shaft selection. This is really important to me as I had been fit before in lighter shafts at premium fitting events, probably in order to get that longer yardage for the sale. I learned from Mizuno that my tempo is on the faster side and I need to be heavier and stiffer. I went to a heavier and stiffer shaft and my results were noticeably better shots/dispersion with virtually no yardage lost. That is a huge win for me personally as I like to try different things from time to time, and having that knowledge will eliminate shafts that dont work for me.

Same, I thought the shaft optimizer data was spot on for me.  I also have a quick transition plus I need to do everything I can to keep ball flight down, which is why X100s have always worked well for me.  It was also cool to compare my data to some Mizuno staff players and I have very similar numbers to Ben Griffin.  That gave me a boost of confidence because I would get frustrated that I don't hit down enough on the ball and take some pretty shallow (if any) divots, then chase some swing change that was totally unnecessary.  Now I don't worry about it and have been playing some of my best golf in years.

Really looking forward to what the 243 update looks like.  I'm kind of in between what I should be playing with the S3s and JPX Forged.

This is contradictory to the messaging that the S-1 is a replacement for the 241. I'm also curious on what they're gonna do about replacing the 245. SUch a great iron in the category.

Thanks for the feedback. I had a call with someone at the foundry yesterday to discuss planning a fitting. I'd like to do a buddies trip at some point and either do a full bag or their VIP option with a stay & play at the Standard Club. He filled me in on the lack of wood options, and he also said they may be making some changes to the program in early 2026. Based on your experience my gut is they rolled this out before they had all the kinks worked out.

Yeah his discord rumors are that we'll have a 243 and 245 replacement with a new naming convention. Then they'll eventually fill out the S naming convention with true one piece players clubs.

Mizuno's marketing team seems all over the place right now.

I suppose the important part is that the irons they're putting to market are so good. They haven't missed in a long while. As for the marketers, I couldn't really care less to be honest. I've never been a fan of those guys as a group.

Agreed. The product has been exceptional and the MAX woods were wonderful. I'm hoping they can carry the momentum with the next line.

Yeah it’s been a clunky rollout but what they are doing makes way more sense. The JPX tour never made any sense being in the JPX lineup and matching the 241 to the 245 was also pointless since noone really combos those. Now they will have three distinct product lines that make sense.
