Came here to say the same thing.  They have released everything, in every which way.  What more could you want?

Whatever they come out with they will only have two basic vanilla versions of LH. Gave up on Odyssey after years of rolling one

I’m sure the lefty thing can be frustrating. But, don’t we think there’s probably a business case for how they release stuff? Does it need to be brought up in EVERY Odyssey thread??

There is a business case for everything. I'm sure there is one for re-releasing the same release with almost every lineup, but yeah I'm going to voice my opinion. Read over it if you're not interested. 5 different variations of 2ball putters on their lefty page with only offering the #7 in a slant neck seems like an interesting "business case" when Odyssey has said over the years how the 2 ball has become less popular and the #7 has surpassed it. 12 variations of jailbird and only double bend cruiser and s2s in lefty... interesting business model. No silver colorway in lefty or giraffe series (which is amazing fyi). When you're left with an anser and anser 2 blade and 3 of the most basic mallet options out of a 40+ putter offering you start to wonder what happened because that was not the case for decades with Odyssey.

I think you’re getting offended at a simple statement. If they didn’t think those were the most likely to sell, they wouldn’t produce them. Like you said, they did it for decades, so something must have changed. Obviously there’s no money in it for them…it’s not like they’re purposely leaving out some huge amount of market share that they just don’t feel like capturing.

I understand the population of lefties is small, but what i am saying is their releases don't make sense. I'm not trying to get off track, but it's very similar to how Scotty Cameron offers a Newport 2 every single release and never a Newport. I've worked heavily in analytics before and I know they all use sale #'s to make decisions on lineups and future models, but would it really hurt Scotty to release a Newport every 5 years? My argument would be sales likely would increase for that year he does something different. The same goes for Odyssey, why have 5 2 ball models available in lefty and not create a more diverse offering allowing you to reach even more golfers. 

 

Some of it could be their financial results have not been the strongest and maybe that's applying more pressure and so lefties are the easiest ignore and save spending.

It's true that it cannot be financially reasonable to release all of their putters in lefty.  But over the last 18 months they have released so few in lefty that they are actively driving away customers.  They can calculate how much they save by not releasing a model in lefty, but they cannot calculate how much they will lose by pissing off an entire demographic

 

At this point, even if they release the version I want in lefty, I choose not to buy it.  I will spend my money with ping or another company that is willing to take a small loss to get their product in front of as many people as possible and keep a customer.

 

Edited to add: Out of my last 6 putters, 4 of them were Odyssey.  I still have and use them, but they lost me as a customer going forward.

Yes, it needs to be brought up in every thread every time....im not nieve enough to think theyre reading this specific thread but there's no way they haven't caught wind that the lack of LH options is making noise.

It absolutely needs to be brought up every time, as it is bad and getting worse.  I am an absolute Callaway/Odyssey homer and can't stay quiet about this.  The options for lefties are atrocious.  They deserve to hear all the comments as it is absurd.  I haven't counted the putter SKUs released this year alone, but I think there's been a total of three LH model SKUs released, to about 60+ RH models.  To release entire putter lines with no LH option is a real slap in the face.  I don't think any fellow lefties expects all options, but give us something.  It truly does make you want to take your business to another OEM that will make the effort to support lefties.  And with that goes recommendations to friends/family for club purchases.  So the bean counters can make one off decisions based on profit numbers on specific SKUs, but they don't have a real number on what influences other club purchases.  Pissing off entire demographics is not good business.

I see 60+ reasons of why you should switch to RH style. Don’t fight them, join them 🙂
