Sm10 58s grind

Anyone playing this loft/grind combo and if so thoughts? What conditions do you use it, etc

Used it for a brief period. Played in all conditions in soflo. Soft, firm as concrete, wet. Very versatile grind. Currently selling my sm10 wedge set after a few rounds however, no complaints I just always think I want to move away from my Cleveland’s and try every vokey release and never like the look as much.

Thank you. I'm like you but in reverse I always migrate back to vokey.

I use this exact club currently. I like it and find it very versatile. I play in the Midwest on public courses mainly and we get all types of turf conditions throughout the year. 
 

Pretty solid out of the sand as well. I don’t open the face a lot though, so can’t really comment on that.

Got one about a month ago and love it. It was one of those this just works moments when I started using it. I like the relief on the back because I don’t really open the face as much as lean the handle back when I need to go high. Haven’t had a lie that I can’t really play out of yet and we have gone from soaked soggy conditions to burnt out a few times this season.

IMHO the S doesnt get the credit it deserves to be honest.  Its versatile option that often (IMHO) gets overlooked for some of the more exotics in the lineups.  Im leaning hard to replacing my D grind here as it (D) can feel clunky at times in thicker stuff in SW Ohio.

I use this grind but in a 60. Never had a better fit for my game. I think it is a freat all around performer. I play in canada where evrything is soft and bunkers have the least amount of sand allowed by the law of golf. 
 

i tried the m and wasnt as forgiving in the soft fairway.

Most of my local tracks in SW Ohio follow this rule as well.

I run a 54° and 58° in 10° S grind. 

 

Pretty good in all aspects really. The 58° doesn't really like to be opened up too much, but it's good out of sand and for full shots.

 

The 54° is great across all areas

I have it in M grind, i find it a tad too low bounce in soggy and soft conditions. Perfect for normal to firm conditions… considering getting a D grind to swap out if needed.

This is true. Been trying to unload my sm10 wedge set and all interested buyers run away when they hear the 54/58 are S grind

Switched to a 60 S in my LW this season in the SM10.  Previously used the M grind and have a K grind I go to as well, all have their strengths but the S seems to be the most versatile.

The only shot I struggle with in the S grind is the rare 50-60 yard shot out of the rough, for that in particular controlling strike "height" is difficult for me compared to the M or K. You can get the dead one off the top of the face, a good strike, or a low spinny one and it can be difficult for me to judge. Being with or against the grain seems to be even more important with the S and having a feel for how its going to come out.

Around the greens, out of greenside bunkers, flops ect the S shines.

I ended upgoing with a 58s (bent to 57/09) with the wedgeworks smooth grind option.  I do not care for ribbons on the sole.  

 

I also have a 54/12d (bent to 53/11) with the wedgeworks smooth grind and its so different than stock.  I love it with the smooth grind, just glides thru the turf.

I did. I was way too inconsistent with it as summer went along. Great wedge but I subconsciously had sm10 in my head I think.
