Hot Weather Golf and your Gloves

With the hot weather around here (SW Ohio) I thought I would share that I finally think I have figured out. As it got hotter and hotter, I started rotating more and more gloves during rounds.  I have found that 4 gloves is a good number for me during a round for them to stay reasonably dry. I have a bag with velcro squares in tthe side - I tried those but there were only two so I needed more space.  Then I got little clamps that I attached to my cart and bag.  I did not like that,  Then I got a velcro strip that could handle the 4 gloves but I could not figure out a routine to keep them in order.

 

This past Sunday I came up with a winning combo (I think).  I have clips on my cart, and I can hang my glove chain by the clip, and I daisy chain the gloves by their velcro. I use the top one and then rotate it by attaching to the bottom of the chain\.  This worked really well, and it can be reduced or expanded with no issue.

 

What does everyone do in the hot weather?  Wearing a wet glove sucks and damages it getting it on and off.

I just wear a rain glove when it’s hot.

Living and playing in SOCAL, AZ and HI islands, I am used to heat. Typically, I carry 2-3 gloves. The glove I wear, I take off after my shot and put it back on for the next; that way it doesn't develop sweat stains. Also my hands don't sweat profusely.  If it's near 100', sweat can develop around the velco area of the glove, like last Sunday.  I'll wear it to finish the round then, if bad, thrown it away.

I'm usually rotating 2 gloves, if really humid will add an extra one in.

Footjoy tropicool when it gets really humid and I sweat a lot.  Similar feel to a rain glove but not quite as thick.

Rain gloves!!! They work best when wet.  It's a win win situation.  When it gets really bad in central Florida I'll wear one on each hand.  I played 2 days ago at 100 degrees and 115 feel like.  No problems with the rain gloves.

Lately I've been wearing a Bionic Relaxgrip on the hot humid days, it doesn't get uncomfortable or soggy.

Rotating multiple gloves is annoying for me. I sweat like a ho in church….rain gloves are the best solution.

I fell in love with the MG gloves, and since they were cheap as could be over the years I've stocked up on them like they're going out of business.   Given how many I have, and how cheap they were, I'll just toss the glove and pull out a new one if it gets in too bad of shape.   I usually only keep the glove on to hit a full shot so even in the worst conditions I normally can get a few rounds out of a glove before sweat kills it.

Rain gloves are the solution

I have to wear both gloves here in the South right now it's so hot and humid

I did order some sun sleeves in the hope it will absorb some sweat and keep my hand somewhat dry

Also have a Halo and that keeps the sweat out of my eyes

On the most humid days rain gloves work the best. Soak them in cool water first before using them.

A rosin bag is super also, but have to watch accumulation and it getting all messed up down inside your golf bag.

TROPICOOL! I used to wear Titleist Permasoft but I’m pretty much in the Tropicool all the time after finding it. I rotate 2 on the range and while playing. You can also wash them with some dish soap or in the washer with your clothes and they come out like new.

Another vote for FJ Tropicool. They're cheap. They breathe super well. They grip really well even when you're drenched in sweat. Played multiple rounds this week in 110-115 heat index, used a single Tropicool glove the whole round all three times.

I have 2 pairs of FJ WeatherSof gloves for the hotter days, 1 for front and 1 for back 9. I've tried Tropicool too and it's great but I am just used to the Weathersof's. Great prices on both though.

I wear a terry cloth wrist band like the tennis players wear because my arms sweat profusely.  Keeps the sweat from rolling down into the glove.

You have to keep in a ziplock bag or it will get everywhere

Try wearing sun sleeves.  They catch the sweat as it develops and runs down your arms and doesn't get onto your hands.  Midwest US has been brutal this summer with humidity so I use them all the time as well as during Florida play.  Work great, can be purchased cheaply on Amazon.

Usually 2 or 3 glove rotation.  So awful lately i have been forced to put on the right hand rain glove too.
