Vessel Sunday III vs Hoofer Lite

Hi, my current Hoofer Lite is getting a bit tired so am looking at a new bag for winter golf.

 

I have a Vessel Player V Pro for Summer use (on a push trolley) and am considering a Sunday III for Winter.

 

The only challenge is that. nowhere near me stocks them so i'm buying blind.

 

The main concern was size of the top and weight but my current Hoofer Lite weighs 5.01lbs (with the strap) and the SundayIII looks like it is only 0.2lbs heavier with strap included

 

Anyone had both or like to provide an opinion?

For a fall/winter carry where you might need to pack a layer or rain gear from time to time, and if you're using 14-clubs, I think the Sunday will be too small.  I think the Player Air is the better Vessel alternative for a carry bag under those circumstances.

I’d check out the new Lux series from Vessel. The Lux Stand DXR comes in around the same weight as the hoofer light, and the new lux air is even lighter! 
 

I'm about to purchase the stand DXR probably. Another option that is very popular would be the player 4 carbon from titleist.

I’d echo points of both above.

 

If storage you need for more winter accessories; the Sunday will be small.  
 

Also along those lines I used to own and really enjoyed the VLS DXR (which is effectively the LUX DXR at this point).  I think that bag is very comparable to a Hoofer Light, but the full length pocket was not very roomy at all (on my VLS); it barely could fit a jacket.  I’m not sure how much room (if any) was added to the Lux.  
 

For a carry bag I understand packing only the necessities to keep weight down, but just pointing out that at least with my VLS, I feel it could have used just a bit larger of a full length pocket.  Otherwise it’s a fantastic carry bag.
