Bettinardi for Mizuno Black Carbon

Anyone else love the feel of these putters?

Snagged a BC1 model, and am amazed at the feel. Smooth as anything I can remember putting with.
It has amazing balance, fit and finish too. Any other with love for this great flatstick?

I am in Ill, close to Betinardi, and I always wanted to get fit, but the look of his putters turn me off.

I like mine. I may put a different Bettinardi grip on it and change the yellow paintfill to white. The feel is insert-like but the roll and feel is good. Nice 355g head in the 33" model too.

I've got the BC2, very cool putter. Sleek and simple blade with plumber's neck. I took out the white and yellow paint on the face with acetone, so it's all black. I also happen to like the thin grip on this putter - the tiny honeycomb indents give it a nice texture. The milled fit face offers a soft but solid feel. It's not my "gamer" but it's not going anywhere either.

i have the 34" BC3 on hold right now.. when i swing it.. it feels a lot heavier than the 355g 33" head..

 

This will replace my Scotty Mid Slant..

I don't understand why Betti put the crank neck on the BC2 and the short slant on the BC1. I think both putters would look a lot better if the necks were reversed.

 

And while I think the entire BC line is a little too industrial looking, the great feel and response of the FIT face is undeniable.

Just picked up the BC3. 34" 343g. Wow, is all I can say for a off the rack flatstick.

I bought a BC1 when they were first released, ended up selling it on the bst here. I wanted this putter to work for me, I really liked the way it looked. In the end, it just didn't give the feedback I wanted and I thought the grip was a too soft. I was playing a scotty stainless before, so the change was pretty drastic I guess. I will say I thought the finish held up pretty well and the headcover is one of the best designed there is, nice skinny profile that fits in the bag well (edges don't get caught up on the putter well).

absolutely love the feel of these, and love how it comes in heavier weights the shorter you go. i just wish the bc1 came with a plumber's neck, would've had one months ago.

Mr. poster above. How perfect you are as to see the positive in the neck. It sets a new standard design that is pure. Won both matches this week, and the Bettinardi Fit Face never let me down on slick PGA West courses hard desert ( yead it is almost summer here).

This is the real feel for the greens, ageed. Robert Bettinardi, Hats wF*&)&) OFF!

You should mention, that although you dumped the Mizunardi you STILL ended up with a love affaire with a true Bettinardi DASS :( :russian_roulette:

I got the BC3 at 33" from another member on the board. The courses in Canada are starting to open this week, and got to try it out for 9 holes on Friday. I love the feel of this putter, and how it looks while lining up the putt. The yellow in the face really doesn't bother me as its not as bright as the pictures, and you don't see it when putting. Oh yeah I should mention how well it works for me, 11 putts through 9 holes.

Nice classic looks. I like the black paint, but I don't know if it stays pretty. I was amazed at the soft feel. This could be the softest feeling putter out there (even compared to plastic inserts). In fact I think it is too soft for the slow/wet greens I often play on.

Yes sir, another great golfer that realizes these BC putters will kick a lot of Camerons out or the bag.

I played 3 rounds this weekend and was so spot on with my putter. Glad some of you have found the best off the rack putter available for 2008!

Got the BC-3 and really like it! Strange thing is, when I first got my hands on one to try it didn't wow me, but now, I love it! let's face it, putters are the most personal of club choices IMHO, and you gotta like what you use, and I like this one just fine!

Finally gamed my BC3 yesterday at Strawberry Farms in Irvine, CA. Took that yellow pillow Winn grip off and put on a Lamkin Jumbo..

 

Lets just say that my scotty will remain in the garage or on ebay! Custom shop? I just want a putter that works.. forget the paint and $95 matching headcovers and shaft bands.. all i want to see is my ball drop.. BOTTOM LINE!

I tried a BC-3 (all I could find in Omaha) earlier this year and wasn't "wow'd" by it. Everyone has said to try the blade style as the feel is different...so maybe I'll give it shot soon.

 

Honestly, if I liked the FIT face in a blade model...I'd probably pull for the Bettinardi JAM putter (either carbon or DASS) with a FIT face. I never pulled the trigger on a Scotty Circa 3 because of all the issues with the finish (both of them), but always loved the design. The Bettinardi JAM is a work of art (especially if I can find one with a site dot and no site line)!!
