Michigan trip

Im taking a 5 day golf trip to northern Michigan. Hows this lineup? Black Lake, Hawks Eye, Cedar River, The Loon, Signature, Little Traverse Bay, True North, and the Tribute.

There are so many great courses up north it is hard to go wrong. Little Traverse Bay is one of my all time favorites, remember to keep track of where the top of the elevation is.

I agree, there are so many great courses up there. I would think about adding Arcadia Bluffs if you can unless you plan on coming back to the area in the future. I am going up north late this summer on a trip and I can't wait.

Personally, I'd switch The Chief for Hawk's Eye

I have never heard anyone who prefers the Chief over Hawk's Eye, until now.

 

My personal take on the chief was bad bad bad. From the time we got there and they guy says "Oh, by the way, the 18th green is closed" it was just bad. All the par 4's played the same, the pace of play was terrible, and there are two courses better across the street (The Legend and Cedar River).

 

They have free golf there in the spring, and I think it's still too much.

I'm jealous. I've played all except Black Lake, True North, and LTB. All of the ones that you mention that I have played are outstanding, and you should have a great time.

 

And I agree that Hawk's Eye is a much better course than the Chief.

I would put Belvedere Golf Club on your list. Classic 1930's golf course. The course has hosted a bunch of Michigan Am's.
