Anyone still hitting the Titleist 670s?

Let me start by saying that I am a 3 hdcap and have been anywhere from scratch to 4 in the past 8 years. I play twice a month and bang balls twice a month due to a new child being born into the family. I have always played Titleist blades since I started playing 11 years ago, and have never gotten used to anything but blades. I have recently been playing the 690.mb with S300s for the past 3 years, and just switched to the AP2s with S300s. I am currently having trouble getting used to the thicker topline and the increased weight of the AP2s. I have found a slight loss of distance(3-5 yards) despite the 1* stronger lofts, and the ballflight is too high. I am really considering moving to the 670s to lower the ballflight. Wanted to know if anyone using them thinks it will be a hard transition coming from the 690.mbs. Any help would be appreciated.

I've got a set in the garage with Tour Concept X1's and that is probably where they will stay. I also have young children and do not have the time to play as much as I used to. I'm currently still a 2 but I'm now playing AP2. I don't care what the club looks like as long as it goes where I want it to on a slight miss hit. Why kill myself if I don't have to you know? Feedback is overrated!

I have played nothing but blades my entire life, unp until 2 days ago. Now, after one round, I'm never going back. Ego is hard to swallow, but if the guys on the big boy tour don't hit'em, how can I? You know. Trust me, one round, and you will be asking, they still make blades?

I play 'em and love 'em. Nothing to do with ego, more to do with improving my ballstriking. I'm not playing competitively anymore, and I don't get much out of winning the $2 nassau, so I've switched to these blades and it's really satisfying to hit a good shot. Honestly, since the switch my iron play has not deteriorated or cost me many shots at all - my scores have stayed pretty consistent.

 

Plus, they're pretty to look at.

I play the 680: the 670 have too much bounce for me. I love mine and never plan to change and hopefully my grooves will hold up. For myself, the first iteration of the 690 was pretty sweet but the newer version (with red paintfill) looks terrible....

I have a set of 680's with rifles sitting in my trunk. I haven't hit them in months...they were replaced by miura cb202's...

I have been playing the 670 blades with rifle flighted 6.5 shafts for the last 4 years and still think they are a superb blade.

 

IMO you will have NO trouble whatsoever switching from the 690 blade (also a nice blade).

 

Incidently I also have a set of 680 blades with S300 shafts and find them harsher feeling, I think because of the shafts (though distance was identical, long irons in the 680 flew miles lower). I'm sure that both the 680 and 670 blades are forged in the same forging house, from the same grade of mild steel, so it can only be the shafts causing the harsh feel. I have hit the 690MB blade with rifle 6.5 shafts and they were nice also.

 

The 670 has a very slightly smaller head, but with a thicker top edge and a more rounded toe end; a "boxier" blade. I found the ball flight to be just a fraction lower than 690MB.

 

Go for it, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I found the 670's  to have better feel, softer than the 680's or 690's. The bounce did not bother me and I have a sweeper swing!
