Who is Slicefixer?

I'm being serious.. I'm new to this board and all I read is "Slicefixer can fix that..", "Go see Slicefixer.." etc. Who is Sicefixer and what's so special about him? thanks..

IMO, slicefixer was a gift from the golf gods.. and on the 8th day God himself took a lesson from slicefixer and improved his ball striking on the 9th day. 10th day.. St. Andrews was created :man_in_love:

 

Seriously, below is a link that shows video of his students using the 9to3 drill. He's a very very very knowledgable guy when it comes to the swing, and he helps the many members out here all the time. GReat guy!

Oh that was hilarious. If you want to build yourself a SOLID swing go so him for a map and follow it to a T. Takes a year or two but you can bet you will have a fine golf swing with him as your guide.

There's 2 documents that were compiled of slices posts etc.. one's shorter than the other.the longer one is 200+ pages, so I suggest the Encylopedia_Texarkana shorter vers.

He is certainly knowledgeable, well-respected, and very generous with his time. Because of all that, I'm a bit curious as to who is Slicerfixer as well...

I'm no expert but I believe he's an instructor down around Texas. His works actually talk a lot about his own golf journey. He's got a very good way about him in explaining things in a way that's easy for one to picture.

 

A few of the guys on this board have traveled far to see him and he regulary gives his time and advice to any individual that sends a e-mail his way.

 

He's kept pretty busy with all the questions he gets but tries really hard to respond to everyone.

 

I don't think you could find a single person on this board that had a bad thing to say about him personally.

I can tell although we have only become friends on line is one of the true gentleman the game of golf offers.

 

He cares more about students than he does about money, He has spent years studying the swing and teaches it for a living.

 

Then again he gives very freely of his knowledge on this forum.

 

Slice and I have different theorys on swinging the club , but as he suspects and I am beginning to believe that we agree on more than we disagree.

 

I will say this he is the epitamy of what every Golf Professional should aspire too be.

 

Look up gentleman or nice guy in the dictionary there is his picture.

Who is Slicefixer? I wondered the same thing when I first stumbled across this site. I found out in short order -- He's an aspiring golfer's best friend.

 

I have no idea how he manages to have time for all of us, but I thank my lucky stars whenever he answers a post that he does have that time.

He is an extremely knowledgeable teacher of the swing. His disposition is excellent and appears to have a great sense of humor.

 

I have read many of his posts and as a former PGA member with over 15 years of experience in the industry, I would say he is one of the most knowledgeable professionals I have come across with regard to the golf swing.

 

Not to mention he is a very generous person who answers many posts and pm's for free all in order to promote what golf is about....the good of the game. He takes time out of his schedule to reply to many questions and inquires. I am sure he is a busy guy and it is impressive as to how he is able to reply to everyone and in the detail that he does.....and all for FREE!!!! That is amazing.

 

He is one of the guys on this site that I truely respect. Having been in the industry and given over a thousand lessons myself, I understand how hard it is, and he has been in the game longer than me and is still going strong. I have nothing but respect for that. Not to mention his ability to teach the swing. That is what it is about. He is able to convey his thoughts and ideas to people and make them better than they were before they came to see him. That is what a great teacher does, makes his students better than when they came to them.

I know several on this site have traveled further than I have, but I have been to see Geoff 4 times now despite the 5 hour drive from Houston. When I tell someone I'm headed to Texarkana and they ask why and I tell them for a golf lesson, they look at me like I'm some kind of idiot or something...however, it's well worth the drive. He's the first teacher I've had where I wholeheartedly believe in everything he teaches me. It's only my own LOFT that keeps me from being able to implement those instructions!!

Important to whom? My understanding is that he stays quite busy with students, in spite of admittedly being weak in promotion and marketing.

That said, I'm (patiently) waiting for his book and website.

He's so busy he doesn't really have time to mess with it...He's got'em coming in from all over the world. A website IMOP is a waste of time for a teacher as busy as Geoff.
