Predictions? Anika's Comment....

So looked it up, last year Even was cutline, -15 won. Since Michelle (smartly) took the cash (exemption) rather than spend some of her $40million+ and try to qualify for an LPGA major. Anika said, what is she doing playing agains the men (@nd tier or not) when there is a global major on her tour being played....I can't say that she's too far off. Trying to make the Masters (which in case no one told her, a win wouldn't qualify her, as it's tier two event).

Is she serious about doing this for a career or just milking cash while she can?

I'm dumbfounded that Wie gave up a chance for a major to play in a sub-par field. I saw in an overseas paper that Leadbetter held nothing back on his opinions - I expect he'll be dumped by the parents soon over that.

What really makes me angry however, is the money. She doesn't need it! Why would she risk respect for cash she doesn't need?

She beat out Annika Soremstam AND Lorena Ochao for sponsor money last year. According to Forbes magazine, Wie earned $ 12M in deals last year, Sorenstam $11M and Ochoa $10M. She’s the fifth highest paid woman in world sport.

And she's never won on the LPGA or made a cut on the PGA.

Respect with inches away from returning to Michelle after being in contention two weeks ago. I'm starting to worry like Leadbetter that she's going to be treated "like a pariah" soon if she's not careful.

I like Michelle, but she needs to give her head a shake.

How does money figure into any of this? Chances are she isn't going to make the cut at Reno, so she isn't even going to make anything there. If all she was interested in was money, she would have tried to play the Women's British Open.

Nancy Lopez said it herself that the women's majors aren't as important as they are for the men. Other than the US Open and the Nabisco, the other two change every couple of years so it's hard to get worked up for those.

No matter what Wie does, she gets criticized. It's becoming ridiculous. If she sneezes, I'm sure there is an article somewhere about how she didn't cover her mouth correctly.

Look at this PATHETIC list of rounds for 3 years playing PGA Tour events:

Not ONE round in the 60's. Not ONE SINGLE cut made. 7 straight events in 3 years without sniffing a cut...

Oh wait, that is Tiger Woods on the PGA Tour age 17-20. Oops.

And for all the "308 is nothing because they're at altitude" people, she's 64th in driving distance. I guess the thin air only affect Wie and not the rest of the field.

Love the hating, keep it up. Always nice to remember how much bitterness and jealousy there is in the world!

I am so friggin tired of this word, "hate". This is not hate, it is reality. She cannot compete on the PGA Tour. She will NEVER have close to the game to compete on the PGA Tour. For all of those that disagree, bring some FACTS to this discussion that PROVE your point. If your infatuation of Miss Wie is clouding your judgement, do it on your own time. One of the "Marshals" here mentioned people would get a time-out for being "haters". Well.....if you stick your neck out with ridiculous comments....such as, she will win on the PGA Tour someday, and play in the Masters, and on and on and on......YOU NEED TO KNOW THAT YOU WILL BE REBUTTED!!!!! There is no free lunch!
