Same weight range on shafts

My current gamer is a 460Tp with the candy proto to the F7m2.This club swingweights to D 6.2

The experimental club is an 08 Burner tp with an F7m2 LTD shaft swingweights out to D 7.6 after I added weight cause of the lack of feeling of head during the swing first time around.

Now,that I added 7.3 grams to bring the weight up to this D 7.6,It still feels way lighter then my current gamer.I'm baffled and dont know what to do.
Same playing length of 45"

I'm afraid this is one of the features of the extremely stable tip - you'll have less action down low on the shaft, and therefore won't have as much head feel. You may well get used to it, though - don't go burying the head with too much weight just yet. You could try sliding that weight out onto the toe for a touch more feel than it would offer on heel or back skirt.

I just thought of something.I think most of the problem I'm noticing is the proto has the constant taper handle.The newer shaft dont have that feature anymore.That would put most of the weight towards the head,wouldnt it?

I've added more weight to head ant its feeling closer.It's now D9.Total weight difference is 2.6 grams.08 burner is lighter

460 is 344.7 balance point is 9"

Burner is 342.1 and balance point is 8"

I'd be concerned too. But your putting weight on the wrong end of the club to make the balance points similar aren't you? Balance point is usually is measured from the butt. The way I understand you saying is the head in the Burner is already actually heavier in ratio to the total club if the balance point is closer to it.

You really need to say screw the swingweight, screw feel, back up to D0 on the new club, do a complete swingweight test adding points out from the D0, hitting about 3 to 5 balls at every half point with impact tape, making notes on the ballflight and distance, till you find the mama bear number.

You know how when you adjust the lie it changes the swingweight of a club? It alters the COG of the head, two different heads have two different COGs.

Or if you really want to get down to the nitty gritty of the difference, you'd have to pull em apart to make them alike, use the component measurements to calculate the total club moi and match that. and while your at it get the skinny on the shafts and see what difference you have there, like stiffness, weight and balance points. Even then there is still the possibility that they won't "feel" exactly the same.

Swinging the club at d6 or d7.2 is way too light for my taste.I'm going to hit club as it is now,but will think about removing some weight from head and adding some to shaft towards grip to help bring balance point upwards
