NO,I mean the HM2.The hybrid shaft. The 8M2 is not a low mofo.I can hit it high and draw the b****.

hM2 is the .370 hybrid shaft designed to perform like the 8M2 - sounds like that one didn't wow you so I'd be careful with the hybrid version. You've got some beastly swing if you're overcooking a tipped 8M2 :^o

Its a great shaft.I like it better then the vs proto i've been playing for 2 years.Just i can hit the big draw that i couldnt hit with the vs proto.The 8m2 gives me options,I can hit it low and high.The VS was more of a mid flight for me and if I need to hit it high,I'd have to hit a cut to get the height.8m2, I dont have to cut it to get it higher which is a plus

Im sorry but if your hitting the 8M2 higher than a VS proto its 100% a change in swing. The 8m2 is one of the lowest spinning, lowest launching shafts out where as the VS is middle of the road in both departments and MUCH easier to draw.

Very true, IF he were a robot hitting machine. However, it's a weird thing - it's very possible that the shaft is partly responsible for the swingchange. One of the things I see a lot with stronger players is that a very stable or stiff-tipped shaft allows them to commit more fully to the swing, and especially to maintaining lag a bit longer, probably without even knowing they're doing it. One Pro I build for hits his F7M2 substantially higher than the YS-6 I pulled, which wouldn't ever happen with an Iron byron. That's why that other site can be really misleading if the info isn't supplemented with real-world demo-ing.

 

As to the OP, I'm relieved to hear that the 8 is OK - you'll need to find an Ozik Specialist for the hM2 - it's (theoretically) specialist and Tour only - much more expensive than the other hybrid shafts too...

Yea,Where Am I going to find that?I know its more money,but if the F7m2 and 8m2 are working then I cant see why I wouldnt put the HM2 in.

I guess you dont understand shaft profiling. The vs proto could have been the wrong profile for me,I couldnt replace it cause it was very playable and I knew exactly where it was going.It took me 5 months to install this 8M2,but now I'm glad i did

I've got an HM2 in a 14* idea Pro Gold hybrid. I love it. Heavier and more stable feeling than the Altus hybrids I have in my 18 and 20*. Its certainly a lower launching and spinning shaft as I've had no problems with ballooning or losing noticeable distance into the wind. It still launches high enough to be playable but seems untouched by wind. It seems workable in each direction. After 4 rounds with it I'm considering switching out my 18 and 20. I've had those two hybrids in the bag for two full seasons and they're the two clubs I thought I'd never mess with. But that may all change now.............
