Scotty Cameron Squareback or Fastback ?

Which one will you buy and why ?

Now that they are up for sale, which one will you get - the Squareback or the Fastback or maybe both :drinks:

Retail price: $325, same as the other Studio Select putters :beee:









I may have to buy both - just to check them out - probably a heavy version of both in 350 gram head/35" shaft will do it :huh:

Thats a tough call. I would have to go with the fastback.................... wait....... i'll go with the squareback no fastback..... i don't know... :rolleyes: Both are awesome looking but the true test will come when you get them in hand. Can't wait!!!!!!!

I'd like to test out a Squareback. I played the Red X5 all this season, love the thing...so it's gonna take quite the putter to knock it out. The fastback looks great, but I think it's too close to what I already have (clearly big differences, but shape wise I mean). Wouldn't be worth the switch in my opinion. I've always liked the look of an anser style putter, but perform better with a mallet...maybe the fastback can accomplish that for me?

Thanks for the pics. I initially thought "Fastback" until I saw the pics from address position. Now I really think the Squareback will help keep my stroke straighter. Didn't expect to like the look of it this much. I also like that the sweet spot is closer to the shaft than Cameron blades.

But sorry to get off the subject but the Square is a awesome putter and I wonder how seemore allowed scotty to use there alignment dot on the 2.7 or 2.6 whatever one it is.? anyone know?

 

It's the 2.6 and yeah, I wondered that as well when I was putting with them all yesterday.

 

The Fastback looks very much like the Yes! Valerie that I game right now, so it looks good to me. The Squareback looks terrific!!! Even though Cameron promotes an arc putting stroke and I'm a straight back/through guy, the Squareback stayed on line for me really well.

 

The one that intrigued me the most and the one I'll play around with more when I have one in inventory will be the 2.6. I've played around with the SeeMores and didn't care for the look, but that 2.6 looks good to my eye and that alignment dot.......I made a lot of putts in the store with it.

This could be the reason why these two putters felt good for your SBST putting stroke !

Agreed!! But I'm standing there with the rep, balancing the Squareback on my finger (like you all do..... :clapping: ) and start putting with it saying exactly what you noted above and the rep says, "Yeah SC believes all all putting strokes should have some arc in them, yada yada..." I'm thinking ok Scotty, whatever......this feels pretty good. Who knows, maybe I have more arc in putting stroke than I think I do.....

Rep was by yesterday.....or in July....I get mixed up easily....... :clapping:

 

Honestly did not pay attention to the weight of the putters, he had several, both 34s and 35s........you know how it is, trying out 3 or 4 drivers, the fairways, putters, etc all in an hour or so. Plus my staff wanted to bang everything as well.

 

Like I said in earlier in the thread, I loved the Squareback, thought the Fastback was very much like my Yes! Valerie, and am going to do some more experimenting with the 2.6.

Just bought a 33" Squareback yesterday and putted amazing. The weight and overall feel of this putter is amazing. I bought the SB to fit my more straight back and straight thru stroke and it works great with it. Also the Square shape of the putter makes lining up a breeze.

Fastback looks better but squareback stay still on the line and a better roll... my "35 puttsperround player" opinion.
