I'm not a "best swing on the planet" type guy.....Mike's looks good to me these days.

David Feherty said he is the best ball striker on the tour range hands down. Tiger even stops to watch.

 

love that sound. Although a much different technique than what most everybody uses, that is a sweet, simple swing. I may have to look into the stack and tilt. That is just so pure.......

I was watching that Hank Haney golf school show on TGC and was simply amazed by the move that "Amy", an 8th grader from China, put on the ball. Absolutely stunning tempo and her positions all the way through her swing were unbelievable. I'll try to find a video or if someone else has it feel free to post. The guys above are all great, but they don't have anything on this 13 year old girl.

I love Amy's swing. I think of her tempo before I swing my 5 wood! I looked on You Tube, but I cannot find video.

 

Edit: I love Payne's swing. I miss him. I had a crush on him when I was in HS.

the best swing ive seen in real life is lee slattery. but my fav swing is jeev milkha singh as i have said many times. I just admire self taught players!

Without reading all of the replies a few that come to mind of current golfers are Els,Couples,& Watson.Real smeeewwwth tempo.I'm dumfounded to this day as to how Els can achieve the distance he does when it seems as if he is swinging in slow motion.He is a big guy and all ,but I just can't spot the clubhead speed since his swing is so fluid.

CAMILLO VILLEGAS!!!!!!!

 

Not only does this guy wear rediculus amounts of JL, he is spiderman, loves FL Gators, has the audasity to use CBs when he strikes it like hes trying to hurt the ball, has quite possibly the most cutty followthrough of all time when he does cut the ball but he then swings it like old tom morris wanted a golf club to be swung...

 

Leg drive - Immense

Short and parallell - Immense

Followthrough - Nothing short of genious

 

This guy has serious talent and im going to lay down the gauntlet and say he will win a Major in 09! (along with Il Nino of course)

I'll have a tenner that he doesn't - due to being too busy seeking out another batch of extra small sized shirts, some more of those decorators caps and spending time when he should be practicing using his home highlighting kit and walking round with his arms stuck out like an upside down saguaro cactus to show us all how 'ripped' he is. :rolleyes:

Lets face it though, all those things that you just slated him for are what makes him who he is, in my opinion its style... the guy to me is an absolute idol...

 

I was watching him last night and had a full blown row with my mate for the fact he wasnt wearing any JL whilst we were watching Villegas... I went home and got changed just because we knew we was going to watch him... He did go put a belt on but i feel asthough his heart wasnt in it... As soon as we saw him pulsate a drive we were friends again... Its that kind of passion that he gives and is why we love him!

In all seriousness, he's done well last season and has raised his stock a point or two with some great play at the end of the year. The whole 'style' thing just gets on my wick a bit - as it does with any golfer who tries too hard to look cool... And if that 'arms permanently tensed up' thing's not deliberate, my name's Doris.

 

I may be the bloke in roomy black or khaki trousers and with a shirt like Steve Stricker's on, but I still don't reckon his swing's a thing of beauty.

Camilo is no doubt a 'cool' guy. However like Mat said he hardly has a visually appealing swing. It clearly gets the job done though all good.

I think i saw you at the nightclub actually, wasnt you the guy leaning against the lampost dressed in all JL with long hair, funny army hat, really tensed arms? You may have been a little drunk but i could have sworn you got on the floor at one point in a spiderman pose... who knows... but like you said you arnt keen on Villegas... :rolleyes:

 

For me i think his swing is visually appealing and techinically as i said in terms of coil and leg drive its fantastic... His elasticity is tremendous, you dont see that kind of flexability in Yoga!

HA HA The funny thing is nick's swing was of the first I saw when I started being interested in golf. I wanted mine to be like it and there are not enough amphetamines in the world for me to get there. :crazy:

Price has got hands like cow's udders and is very strong in general and has to be to control the club as well as he does with that tempo.

 

This one's still the dog's danglies for me. It went a bit flat and short at one point but it's crept back a little more upright over the years and is somewhat similar to his old action that I always loved. For an old boy, it's a fantastically dynamic swing and the set-up is absolutely flawless.
