Can anyone give me info on the below Byron? Model and price point? If this should be in another post please advise.

 

It's a DH89 with a custom neck welded on. Stock putter is 500$, the soundslot, welded neck, and face milling will run about 300$. I'd say it's a roughly 800$ job.

I concur with Princey's general assessment right above me if it were brand new, and given it's in excellent shape probably would be worth only slightly less than original MSRP.

 

I have a putter very similar to this, blue oil DH89 with a long pipe neck. The welded long pipe is really a fantastic option if it's fits you, I love mine.

 

The only relevant info I would like to add that may help you is that it is my guess the pictured one there is stainless and not carbon steel. I'm strictly judging by the hue or the finish, carbon is usually darker in that finish, and the dark blue stainless ones are usually quite sought after as stainless tends to come out even lighter than that, I think. Fantastic putter all around, love the stamps and that milling on the face. If the top line is hand softened as well that would be another extra bonus. At least in my book! All subjective here after all.

Last week I ordered a DH89 with blue oil can finish, rolled top line, 365 gram A.S.S., sound slot, site dot, plumbers neck, my initials and a tour dot on front and back with dancing Byron Morgan stacked. I can't wait to get this one. Having a putter with everything you want is the way to go.

 

I have been buying high end putters for over 17 years and NEVER had one made to my specs until now. If you are going to pay a lot it should be exactly what you want. The already made ones should be priced less IMHO. All these years I have been trying to adapt to the putter with is backwards IMHO. I believe the putter should fit you. Byron Morgan is now my preferred putter/putter artistian. The quality and detail is superb!

All three available LH or RH (with any neck you want included, except for upcharge for LN plumber's neck) according to Eddie's email, which makes sense since the putters are symmetrical before Byron starts his finish work.

Can it be built with a welded CS? How wide is the body on the B17?

The cavity depth for this model was meant to go into the face. A few years back you could order an original Bombora (had no cavity) and Byron would mill a cavity through the flange and stop at the top line. Byron called this custom milling optionRockpile. On Ebay you can find used Rockpiles if that's something you're really going for.

I see that now. The 029 bumpers are a lot like the 365x-proto's. Both bit more boxy than the 006's.

This is the one that got me hooked. The specs are not exactly what I want but close enough. Just needs to be one more degree flat.
