$100 is what it cost me to have a plumbers neck chopped off and a long pipe welded on.

He even sent me back the old neck.

Might cost more if you have an up charged finish that needs to be redone.

Byron posted pics of my new putter last night, and it came out exactly like I had envisioned. This one is a 10th anniversary present from my wife and it looks fantastic. I really like the way the Tai dots ascend right up to the site dot. Really great work by Byron. I need to find a nice putter rack to display this one.

It has the same specs as my other DH89, with a few differences:[list]

Dozer had a block of Damascus he was going to have made but moved on, seeing Pures putters I wish he'd have gotten it done it'd be in one of our bags now! Those are for sure the coolest putters I've seen.

You should plan on 8-12 weeks at least.
Don't worry- They will let you know and request the balance before shipping.

I put my deposit down on 9/3 and got the putter on 11/12. Mine had a custom neck, some hand working and an outsourced finish, so 10 weeks for that is very reasonable.

The legend is a one man show folks, he always has a lot of work. I ordered another one last week with many extra's, Bryon sent me an e-mail to say it probably won't be ready for Christmas, I told him "that's fine" it will be snowing in Indiana anyway.

Deciding on what finish to have for my 3rd Byron. If it is not too much to ask, can I ask for photos of any of the following finish taken on broad daylight?

1. Brushed Bronze
2. Matte Blue Oil
3. Brushed Blue Oil

Do a search on puttertalk.com and you can see a ton of those finishes, or on Byron website. In general Tai treatment refers to additional hand softening of bumpers, top line, neck or wherever. There some additional things that Tai has done- dots etc.. that can be found in the same place.

Search the finishes by name and Tai dots to start..

I would probably pay twice just to see his collection. Definitely twice, probably 3 times...

Thank you for clarifiying the Tai treatment! I noticed the rounder neck and bumpers but didn't knew that refers to the tai treatment.

I have searched puttertalk but all I see are shots taken on shade. I would like to see how the finish fare under the sun particularly the glare.

It definitely reflects, but I didn't find it to be blinding. It seems to show more blue and purple in the finish in the sun. The picture doesn't really do it justice.

My DH89 arrived last week. I have to say I'm really impressed with Byron's # 4 Tuna milling on stainless. I was looking for something with a little more feedback and this hits the spot. Soft feel but with that nice click off the face. Definitely my gamer going forward...will be playing around with the paintfill.

Thanks. Went for a different style in the cavity and the stamping turned out pretty cool. My original plan was to go matte black, but I'm glad I switched to glass blast. It has a very clean smooth look. And, it only took a little over a month from deposit to delivery.

I went back to one of my Byron's this last half of the the season. I switched to my carbon DH11 that had a really torched oil can after market finish that looked unbelievable (basically a pretty dark oil can with dark blues through out it). Finished the season on a high with the DH11, but I'm not the most responsible carbon owner. It had some serious wear from mot oiling it enough. But funny thing is I love the weathered/highly games/beat up look. Anyways sending it back out to the Putter Spa again this winter to get a 3x plumb brown. Which basically a dark oil can kinda like Speith's 009 has.

 

This is one my favorite threads. Always like looking at Byron's putters and what people do to make it their "own" with cool stamping and finishes and etc.
