Is the no sightline policy only for existing putters that are wanting to be redone? Or is he not doing them on brand new builds as well?

 

Only on refinish/modifications. New orders can still get them.

This was a refinish that took a ridiculously long time. Finally arrived back today. Turned out great though. Copper plated carbon steel with a sound slot. Fine fly cut face milling. The feel is perfection.

Since November. Delays in the plating process.

Looks pretty classy...probably well worth the wait, but I'm sure hard not to get impatient.

The bend and flow of that pipe neck looks great at address. Easy on the eyes.

Scotty1140...would you call that a long, mid or short pipe neck. Seen lots of BM pipe necks and I have one myself. So just trying to figure how long would make it a long pipe. Thanks, JT

Looks short to mid.

 

The long pipes are much longer. I had a long pipe DH89. Why did I sell it? I'm still trying to figure that out myself :/

More. These are from a day or two ago. It's completely dark and pretty even now. Took a week. No silly patina formulas. Nothing but 1 round and a couple trips to the practice green.

HB-15.....? Never heard of it. Is it a mix between dh89 and 007?

It's a dh89 head with a thicker face to provide more weight because of the double bend shaft. There are only a handful of them in the states as it was made for his Asian market.

Can anyone give me some information on this putter. I have always had Scotty Cameron's but since joining this site have seen a ton of Byron putters. Just trying to get some specifics on this putter. Year? Head style compared to new release Byrons? Price they sell for?

Any help is appreciated. If this post should be located elsewhere please let me know.

Made pre 90's, comparable to the dh89. This was when Byron teamed with John Ortega, Byron and John split it 1989. This putter is cast whereas Byron's are now milled. Value of around $100. Headweight around 330 grams I think. A lot of people still play those putters. I have a few of the JB's myself.

So played this am, rolling my DH89. Guy in forsome says, that's a nice stick, ball really rolls well off of it...he looked it over, tried telling him about BM and Socal/HB (used to live on 19th & palm, by HBHS) but it was all lost on him...

Kind of new to the Byron scene but am really a fan. Had a mystic DH89 for a little while (that I really miss now), but have been rolling this 8812 for the past few months... got it from a member here and have really been enjoying it!!! I do miss that DH89 head style though. I have been putting well with the 8812 so I am trying not to be a HO and jump ship just yet!!! One of these days I will make it over to the shop to check some stuff out.... nice putters in here, all! Sorry for the CRAP pics....
