This one of any.. should have a great shot. I have the stock Diamana and love the combo.. its a 65g so I'm not sure how your 85g is going to affect the way the club behaves.

I may try and find the stock shaft if the one in it doesn't work. I don't really think this head needs the heavy shaft in it, but I don't know.

What do you apply the Meguiars with? Never messed with anything like this, and I have a G10 with very tiny/fine scratches.

My two cents...Go slowly when you use a buffing wheel, because if you work too hard on any given area, trying to get out deep scratches, etc, you can end up buffing right through the paint and down to the metal. I've certainly done it myself. Light scratches in the clear coat usually buff right out, but deep scratches/gouges into the actual paint are difficult to blend/remove. Work cautiously, and my advice would be to accept a less than perfect result, unless you want to have it totally refinished/repainted. Otherwise you'll likely over do it trying to make it perfect.

How is everyone getting these tiny scratch all over the TOP of the heads?  Are you sneaking gravel into your headcovers?  Short of throwing it up into some scratchy tree branches, Im not understanding how this is happening.  I mention THAT particular example because in my youth I did such things. :)

They are leaving their headcovers off while they play......pull an iron out of your bag and BANG!!.....new chip on the crown of your club.

Mine actually come from tiny air born molecules that spontaneously combust upon impact w/ my 130mph club head speed.. then when i yell out POW the paint gets scratched.. lol.

William, I've been gaming the TBTP 9.5* with a Matrix F6M2 and loving it so much that I just picked up another 8.5* head and another F6M2 to put in it. Find the right shaft and that head will just bomb 'em for you!

 

A buddy of mine bought a 9.5* with the Diamana 65S stock shaft (very good shaft, BTW). He had me pull it and put in a VS Proto By You. I can always see if he wants to sell the Diamana. Drop me a PM if you are interested and I can see what he would sell it for.

 

I agree with the comments on polishing out the crown; you may get most of those scratches out. Good luck on your never ending driver journey! LOL!

In my case, it was a poor choice in cleaning material. Was trying to get epoxy off the head and used something slightly too abrasive.

Liquid Glass is a great sealer once you have completed the buffing.
