Help??

Does anyone know where to find these grips at a decent price. Love the grip but at 18 bucks it better make every putt that I look at. Thats just the price on the site. Anyone know any other places to go for one?? In a cheaper range?? Looking for the white putter grip. Or red?

$18 is expensive, but I've had mine for 2 1/2 seasons now and its just as good as new. I don't buy into the whole ion thing, but the blue grip is a great match with the blue paintfill I have on my putter. The grip also just feels right in my hands, hard to explain. I plan on buying another one when this one kicks the bucket at some point in the non-foreseeable future.

Dealer cost on these is $11-12 so you're not really gonna find one for less than $16-18. Seems pricey but I think they are worth it for feel and durability not to mention looks.

durability seems like a pretty weak justification..

 

it costs as much as 4 standard putter grips, and I can't remember the last time I missed a putt because a worn putter grip slipped in my hands as I made my stroke

 

people buy them because they like pretty colors, and that's OK

I could care less about the color. The feel is what I like. hot cold, wet dry, it's better than any rubber based grip I have used.

I'm not talking about durability as it pertains to being able to hold onto the club, I'm talking about durability as it pertains to how the grip retains the tacky feel it had when I first put it on my putter. I'm not taking a 108 mph driver swing with the thing.

 

But bottom line is I cannot stand the feel of a slick putter grip in my hands, the tackier the better. This grip has kept that same tackiness for 2 1/2 years, way longer than the junk stock Cameron grip. I've also replaced the grip on my driver three times and my irons once in that same timeframe. I see the measly $18 as a long term investment. Color is an added bonus after durable feel to sweeten the deal (but you know they make them in black right?)

a putter grip will last longer than iron or driver grips, especially since you don't swing so hard

 

even a 3 year old putter grip, a standard one is still pretty tacky

 

if the expensive grips are what people prefer, that's great and they should use them, but you'd have to keep the same putter for a long time to realize the value in the longer lasting grip, which many of us have problems with

i know what you mean about the price.... im looking for a 17inch putter grip and Im torn between a

12 dollar winn all black vs a 33 dollar white red white iomic.... i think im going to bite the bullet at go for the 33 even though i really should put that extra money into some putting lessons....

 

just feels good...
