My Frozen Tuesday Night

Well here in South Jersey it is 30* and snowing hard. Instead of being your typical teenager and doing homework and than making a snowman, I decided to play golf...sort of.

 

We have about 3-4 inches of snow, and i thought to myself why not make a snow bunker to practice hitting the ball first chip and 20-30 yard bunker shots.

 

Here is my set up...

Well now there is about 25 balls i have to go find.

Yup. I couldn't find the outdoor light we had so i improvised.

Wow, That is true dedication.... Guess I should feel pretty lucky to be in San Antonio. 75 degrees yesterday when I got off work at 2:30, and hit the links till dark....

around 7-7:30 but after i posted this I was outside until about 11 just chipping and hunting for the balls i hit.

Well, I found most of them today in the light. It would take me 10 minutes with my cell phone light to find one ball, go outside after school today and see 50 right where i was looking, ugh.

i live in north jersey and im 19. i go in the back and hit outta the snow for the bunker effect lol. i do not hit a lamps though lol.

I didn't hit that lamp outside yet...but i did hit and smash half the glass ring when it was in the basement though.

 

I'm 5 miles from Pine Valley and 20 minutes from Philly. we got 5''-7'' last night. Did up north get hit with it as well?

i just practise hitting into a net outside after school for a hour or 2

nah we only got like three tues. not too bad. yo you ever play lakewood country club. i hear they're open for play. its in southern nj

No, I've never played or heard of lakewood for that matter. I have played pine valley though. I play hockey with the head pro's son and i played with him for a round.

i bought some soft foam balls at sports authority. i live in an apt, and can hit them full into the wall without leaving a mark or pissing off my neighbors. much warmer indoors... i generally just chip with them and aim for a small circle on the wall.

I play jv for Bishop Eustace, our varsity is number one in the state. Did you play for school?

yeah. well we won state championship last year. played at the prudential center. and then i won the golf state champ individually. :)
