I have hit them, and maybe in the minority but I honestly thought they felt like crap. Now I have never been a big lover of TM's irons, but to me these just took the cake as far as bad feeling irons go. I hit them with DG's, PX and KBS. None of which felt good, I honestly wanted to like them too because like you I think they look pretty good, especially at address. I'll take my i10's over them 8 days a week though...

I just got a Tour Burner (4&5)/Tour Preferred (6-PW) combo set with Project X 6.0's. I've done a few range sessions with them and like the feel of the Tour Preferred. I'm about an 8-10 handicap and I have a really high ball flight. The TP's look great at address with a thin topline and don't have too much offset compared to the T.B. The TP's do offer some forgiveness but not as much as the Tour Burners. If you're looking for a club that you can work the ball with but offer some forgiveness I would recommend the TP's. If you are looking for forgiveness with some offset then I would recommend the Tour Burner's. Hope this helps.

Didnt care for them much myself swooshy, when I was looking at irons a few years ago they were beat soundly by the cobra carbons and especially in feel, trajectory, offset catagories

OK............... easier to flight?? higher or lower............C'mon Man U of all know that I NEED alot more!!! :man_in_love:

My 2 cents isn't going to help you much, but I hit them at Golfsmith and I didn't care for them very much. They look great at address and set up very well, but the feel I just didn't care for. I've been hitting forged irons for the past 10 years, and the feel of a cast iron just doesn't appeal to me. I never really got to checking the distance/trajectory of them because I could never get past the feel.

Swoosh,

I hit a demo 6i today...at the range...off of mats....so take it for what that's worth. As you know, I have the MP-57's in my bag, which I like, but don't love. I found these to be much easier to hit...very forgiving. I liked the look at address...don't like the looks of the back of the iron, which obviously is only a factor when they're in the bag...but, we all like pretty irons even if we won't admit it. I don't think it's any shock that they're more forgiving than the MP-57s, as they are certainly bigger. So, now the question becomes whether or not there's a big difference out of the rough, and am I willing to make that trade-off.

I thought they felt real solid, which I realize that others have disagreed with. At a minimum, they are worth taking out on the course for a test run, which won't be for at least a month up here in NY.....so don't be calling me tomorrow morning telling me that you played 72 holes this weekend, and you have 3 outings in the next 8 days!!

I also like the Ping S-57, and will definitely check out the MP-52's.

Take it easy....talk to you soon.

Do you attribute the high flight to the clubs or is that your natural flight?? which store set you up with the combo set??

Well today I hit the 09 Burners, 08 Tour Burners and the R7TP irons........... really like the R7's and from what I've read the Tour Preferred are just a step up in looks and performance.......... I did see a set in RH and the Tour did look slightly better at address. Will get a demo soon hopefully of the Tour heads.............

I am a righty, but I just purchased the tour prefferred Irons. I tested clubs for about a month. I compared them with Ping S57, Titleist AP2, Callaway x22 tours. For me it came down to the AP2 and tour preffered. What I found was interesting. The tour preffered had a softer feel than the AP2, and I consistantly hit them straighter than all clubs tested. I then deliberatley hit balls off the toe and the tour prefferred irons where much more accurate than any other, with minimal distance loss. Just my 2 cents. Good luck!!

OK...........finally hit this head..........then ordered this head............now love this club!!! I personally like a slightly larger, higher hitting head and this is what I got. Club is still workable and forgiving with very pleasing looks.Sole is slightly wider than I'm use to but not clunky.

To each his own but me likey!!! :man_in_love: :partytime2:
