College class ring prices

Got fitted for my class ring today and almost had a stroke when they told me the cost. Didn't know they were that expensive. Oh well, you only graduate once I guess. Any other college guys blown away by the price of their class ring?

Didn't buy one, but I think mine in high school was more than my wedding ring....

 

Seems funny my parents were more willing to spend more on a ring that I would only wear a handful of times than I was for a ring I would wear until it wore out.

Yeah when i was eligible to buy one like my junior year in college they wanted like 550 when i bought one my senior year towards the end the price went to 795 for the same ring in a year and a half!! what r they at now?

idk about you guys, but i never wore my class ring, and i even got the cheap one and was pissed a month later when i could have had the money

I guess you mean your high school ring? I wore mine for 2 years, but that was about it. Plan on keeping the college ring on a little longer.

My parents insisted I buy a high school class ring, ended up being something ridiculous like $425. I won't buy a college one because I've only worn the high school one a handful of times

my parents wanted me to get a high school ring. it was a josten's which was did the college rings too. i never wore the high school ring and josten's (at the time, 2001) offered a "upgrade" by giving them your high school ring and they would knock a ton off on the college ring. don't remember how much the rings cost though.

Wish I had bought mine, would be a good motivational tool to use the degree I have! Have to admit though it probably would have gone the way of my high school ring, buried in a box somewhere, never to be found again.

Balfour and it is white gold. My high school ring was Herff Jones.

I didn't buy a class ring, either. However, I did buy my State Championship ring for wrestling. It was white gold and from Balfour. It was a hefty chunk of change back then, lol.

I got my high school State Championship football ring. It hangs on my All State plaque. I wore that thing for a year or so.
