I think Rory should make the cut, solid player. Just depends on how much the nerves and the moment gets to them both

It should be interesting to say the least. I hope they all make the cut, but it will be a pressure test for their nerves for sure.

McIlroy has shown before (British Open) that big events do not faze him. He'll have no problem making the cut. He'll be Stateside from this week onwards playing the WGC Tuscon, The Honda, WGC Doral, Shell Houston and then Augusta. He'll end his US visit with the Verizon Heritage and TPC Sawgrass before returning to Ireland.

I think Rory will show that he has the game and the mental performance to do well (perhaps very well) on the PGA and Augusta.

I think Danny Lee and McIlroy with both make the cut and one of them will probably be in the hunt and place in the top 5. Hell maybe both of them. If one of them won the Masters I would not be surprised. These two are no joke. They will be top 5 players in the world for the next ten years. They are great people too. Very nice and humble.

If Rory makes enough during this stretch on the PGA to be fully exempt next year I think we will see him moving to the USA and playing on the PGA Tour full time.

I say Rory contends for the top 10, Lee makes the cut, and Ryo misses, I think he just makes to many bogies to make the cut.

Any way it goes it's going to be a delight to watch these young soon to be superstars cut their teeth at Augusta National.

I thought young Rory got off to great start yesterday with 2 under thru 3 but then 2 bogies and then a triple on 17 along with 3 more birdies. As people have said the back 9 is the hardest. Now that he knows that the Bear Trap can bite hope he'll play better today.

Don't think he'll play the PGA full time. His management people want him to become a "world player" and I can't see him leaving his parents, family and his girl friend (still at school).

Augusta will be interesting for the kid, especially as he has decided to visit the course before the Masters and apparently O'Meara has arranged a practice round with You Know Who.

I agree! These guys are really impressive.

Rory has sooooo much game he can compete anywhere, anytime. Most impressive young player since...errrr...ummm...I'm not going there. :D Anyway, I've only see a little of Lee and he looks good too, but not quite as sold on him as I am or Rory. That kid is a superstar in the making. :ok: I'm not quick to throw out those kind of terms, but Rory clearly has what it takes. Plus he is a nice, humble kid from the interviews I've seen.

Danny Lee could win the thing, no joke, he won at Pinehurst, and did well at Greensboro which shows he plays well in the region. He has great touch and a complete golf game. O ya the kid is fearless, if he is in the hunt, watch out.

Rory McIlroy struggles with the putter, I think the course fits his game from tee to green, but on the green is a different story. If he putts well anything is possible, but Augusta is all about the greens.

Ryo Ishikawa is good fit because he is a great putter, this tournament will tell us a lot about him. He has made it clear that the Master's is his focus and has imported Augusta grass to practice off of in Japan. I would not be surprised if Danny and Ryo are the ones to make the cut, but at the same time the pressure could be overwhelming, all of Japan will be watching and hoping.

Lokk I'm Kiwi obviously. Lets get that out of the way. After watching Danny win the Johnnie Walker a couple of weeks ago and watching him play in the NZ PGA (Nationwide Tour) today. The kid is one of the best ball striker's I have seen. He just hits it straight and hard. Doesn't really shape it. But for Augusta he is going to have to improve his putting. He makes his fair share of bombs but from 5-15 feet he's a little shaky. Throw that in with 1st time Augusta inexperience. Well you can guess.

He is only 18 and have no doubt one day he will among the top echelon in the world but as for the 2009 Master's. I'll take Rory

A little background on Lee for people who haven't really seen him. He absolutely dominated at the US Amateur. Outclassed everybody by a mile. Tiger struggled to win all of his US Amateurs. He did win 3 of them though of course. But Lee was shooting 63s and 65s at Pinehurst in his wins. He was hitting irons shots inside ten feet most of the time. That is his normal iron shot. And then on top of that he's a great putter. His driving is good too. He's...good. Short game maybe a little suspect but certainly not bad. Before he played in the US Amateur he played in a PGA Tour event and placed in the top 15. Dominated the US Amateur. And now he just won the Johnnie Walker on the European Tour (former winners include Tiger, Els, etc). He did just miss the cut in a Nationwide tour event in Australia, apparently it was really windy and he's human. He's a super quiet guy who has some good quiet thing going where he gets in the zone really easily and then has a very dynamic golf swing. His nickname should be "the Preying Mantis."

I think it's really dumb that they force him to be an amateur for a year if he wants to play at Augusta. What is this the year 1923? The Bobby Jones era has long been over. There is no point to it. Who cares if he turns pro after the US am, all that matters is that he wasn't a pro while winning it.
