Not exactly sure what you were looking for in this post.??? Fun shot to think about but is this a post about his technique or just wanted to show the video???

 

I think his technique may be a little better now :clapping:

Little bit of both. Its cool to see even the best player in history hit a bad one now and then.

 

It also makes you wonder why he ever went to that Hank Haney swing, His driver has suffered badly ever since. He's just so talented that he can win majors with different swings. How many other tour players have done that? Would Tiger have more majors if he kept Butch and the old swing? It takes time to groove a new swing. He use to drive the ball deep and straight. Now its deep and crooked. His iron game has been pretty consistent for the most part, but if you look at it how many years did he suffer from making the change? Is his swing better now or in 2000? He dominated in 2000, he'll tell you he is better now though. Maybe his swing is technically better but its not as repeatable/consistent as it was then.

< Wouldnt be suprised if Tiger's sw was actually 54/55 delofted from 56 to lose some bounce and fill that gap from his 48 or 49 degree pitching wedge. How would anybody ever know though? They wouldnt.

Does anybody really think a player sets out to completely change his swing if he is winning and by large margins?! Nick Faldo is an idiot. Yeah I said it. He went out and changed his swing and after 2 yrs had an incredible run in the majors. How can he rip Tiger for doing what he did? And terrible analysis of the shank btw. Tiger got a couple inches closer to the ball, duh that's why he shanked it, not b/c he was changing his swing.

 

Tiger had to change his motion b/c of his knee originally. He was a body release guy and the knee couldn't take it. He always fought the club getting "stuck behind" him and actually coined the phrase. When was the last time you heard him say that? Stevie will tell you Tiger could not hit the different kinds of shots he can now. Winning 10 of the last 13 events up to the US Open is why Tiger changed his swing.
