Ok, so I decide to compare the price difference between the I-Mix and the Epoxy shafts and WTF?

$299.99 - I-Mix FT-9 Tour 8.5 Draw
$129.99 - I-Mix Fubuki 63 Tour -Stiff

$877.50 - FT-9 Tour 8.5 Draw - Fubuki 63 Tour -Stiff

Ehhhhh......come again.

A $450 price difference. That is insane. Is this I-Mix shaft the same shaft, because if it is then Callaway must be doing this to get people to buy the I-Mix stuff.

Yes, same shafts. Cally wanted the I-mix head and shaft to be the same price of the "glued" version. Since the FT-iq Tour I-mix head is $399 then the Fubuki Tour shaft had to be $129 to match the glued FT-iq Tour's $429 price.

So because the FT-iq's stock shaft is the Fubuki 63 Tour, they have to match the 429.00 price point with the epoxied version. Unbelievable.

 

I wonder how many people will buy the FT-9 with the Fubuki glued in and pay the extra $450. That is the most expensive epoxy known to man.

I just got done reading the whole thing and I can sum it up for people if they don't want to read it.

 

1.) It is $129 because the shaft is a stock offering in the FT-iq tour with stick and glue.

 

2.) It is a Callaway proprietary shaft, which DOESN'T make it a "made for" shaft. It is the real deal, it just doesn't have a .335 tip diameter.

 

3.) Joe Kwok is offering a special deal if you order through him. Don't know the details of that yet, but if it's better than my college VIP discount, I might try that.

 

4.) Screw and unscrew your I-Mix heads 7-10 times so the shaft can settle in. This will eliminate any rattling you might get if you only do it once.
