What has golfwrx done for you?

Golf WRX has basically inspired me to buy equipment that I don't need, also be somewhat of a snob when it comes to golf shafts. Regardless how well i hit something, i am newly inspired to try clubs/shafts people sing about, maybe they are singing, because if they told the truth about their new 500+ investment for 1 club no less, they would cry . The equipment forum is a dangerous C^&K waiving contest and I doubt anyone really own's half the crap they represent, and if they do have taken a second on the house to get it. Stick with what you have. Spend the coin on range buckets, T times, and lost golfballs like a happy golfer. This behavior is really like dumping girlfriends because they don't always wear hot underwear, not looking at all the real good things they have going for them. Watched John Cook on the golf channel playing lessons, and he is still rockin orlimar tri-metals.. That guy could wipe the floor with all of us, and he is sporting clubs i find in bargin bins for 19$. Buy used, play happy, groove your swing. -_ stepping down from the soap box.

Learned a few things here and there, and I have met some great people as well. Mostly just cost me lots of money though.

The word fake is thrown around here like the word fix in Las Vegas sportsbooks. Same degree of accuracy.

But overall an awesome site. Helped me to evaluate a few shafts that had slid to extreme bargain rate on ebay.

Golfwrx has provided me with a place to make some great friends. Without it, I wouldn't be tempted to golf every Friday with the Hos of Honolulu. I also wouldn't know what true hoing was without seeing the three homigos in action. Oh and I would also have lots of money in my bank account as I probably wouldn't have an all JDM bag.

After thinking about how much Golfwrx has done for me and that I am still posting here, I renewed by previously expired ClubWRX membership. If you are posting, shouldn't you join ClubWRX too?

WOW...Chad..I don't know if I'm prouder to be mentioned as a "homigo" or that you renewed your ClubWRX membership! :drinks:

Either which way...these type of threads pop up every so often and I never tire of them. I think you have gained what I believe is the best part of GolfWRX. Sure, we can read about clubs anywhere and get swing tips in magazines and books..but meeting lifelong friends....that's a whole different thing. I'm proud to say some of my closest friends are here on GolfWRX. From guys who live on the same island as me to guys across the world that I trade notes, emails and of course jabs with daily. GolfWRX is the greatest! :yes:

I was ALREADY a golf nut. :tongue:

But this site has allowed me to EXTENSIVELY research equipment and get solid, firsthand feedback on shaft and club performances, which has REALLY helped me to improve my setup. This has clearly resulted in significantly lower scores for me.

It also helps me learn about some of the neat tour-only equipment out there that would otherwise be next to impossible to hear about. And this helps me to know EXACTLY what to bug my tour department buddies for! :lol:

Getting dialed in to the right setups is incredibly important if you are passionate about playing your best golf, and it is next to impossible to do all the research :beruo: needed to optimize your gear unless you have access to a great site like this!
