Riuzzi
Last year I ordered a 53* Chikara v1 black ox wedge from Carl, and was extremely impressed with everything about it. The look at address is perfect, the feel is fantastic, and it spins like a top. I've hit a ton of great shots with it, and it just gets better for every round. I honestly can't say anything negative about it, so I just had to try a 59* as well. As luck would have it Carl had just gotten back from a trip to Japan when I wanted to place my order. He had brought back the last couple of Proto Types that had been reserved for Japanese pro's, and there was a single 60* left...that's gone now :D My new Chikara arrived yesterday, and even though I didn't think it was possible, I think this one looks even better than my 53*. The mill marks on the face are insane, and makes the face feel like sand paper. The grind is also very cool, similar to the grind on the 53*, but this one is done by hand and has the slit in the sole. The custom red and white paintfill was inspired by the Danish flag, Dannebrog...I don't know if it was Carl's or Reid/Pitbull's idea, but I really like it :) I really can't wait to see how it performs on the course. Thank you Carl! And thanks again Reid for all of your help!

Riuzzi
Thanks guys! Chikara's are really something special. I've tried a lot of different wedges, and based on my experiences with my 53*, Chikara's are definitely my favorite wedges out there. I can't wait to see the new irons and putters that are supposed to be released in the near future.
shuttle1
I hope you took out stock on the ball you play. You're going to be shredding a few. That is one good looking weapon. I have tried many wedges since putting the Chikara's in the bag and nothing can knock them out. What I'm the most amazed with is how many balls I've hit and how good of shape they're still in. pitbull808
Michael, glad to see the wedge made it safely on it's long trip from Hawaii. I'm proud to have a "hand" in your wedge. If the grips crooked...Carl put it on! :cheesy: Actually I know it's on good since I had him check it after I stuck it on. The paintfill was also a joint effort. My idea, and his paint. I let him do it..and he said he better since I'm much too impatient to let it dry well before attempting to clean it up. Good luck with it! I'm still loving my Proto's! :drinks: Quote Pitbull808 WITB Page Pitbull808 IG Godzillagolfer/ My putter IG

LSeca
The only thing better than a v1 Chikara is a proto type v1 Chikara. I am envious, great pick up. :good:

I hit a couple of shots with it yesterday on my round...almost holed a shot from the rough on the last hole. It performs just like I had hoped, I'm already looking forward to hitting it again :) OMG! That looks like bactine for my "itch" I've tried "scratch"ing my itch, but the only thing that's worked over a longer period of time is Chikara ;) I'm all set for wedges until these are worn out...or until Carl comes out with something new and cool :D
Geo
Fantastic-looking wedge, Michael. Gotta say though, speaking from experience, the only thing that looks better than a brand new Chikara wedge is one that's earned it's place in the bag and has just barely gotten it's "broken in" look to it. Because that's a wedge that had delivered a "CHIKARA" moment or three. ;) Congrats on the new wedge and finally matching up a great pairing. Muchos dankes on the pics. :good:
