Stix
Asking for feedback from those that have tried all 3These three blades look great at address and I've heard so many glowing reviews so its all starting to blurr :tease: . I know these are all great stix in their own right, so I'm really looking for comparison feedback from those that have hit all three. Please comment on which ones were best for the following and why: Feel Distance TrajectoryWorkabilityForgiveness (these are blades so forgiveness relative to each other would do)Thanks. ob1soccer
J36feel- they feel ridiculously smooth, a solid mushy click distance- 12 yards longer with each club than my MP57 trajectory-i have project x flighted and ballflight is low and penetrating workability- whatever you want forgiveness- feels like a game improvement set when you miss it and still goes on the green, its bizarrei thought looking at these clubs they were going to be hard to hit, and i was wrong. buy them i cant comment on the other 2 sets because i only demoed them quickly, but the j36 is better than the mp57s and my last set the callaway xtours. not even close Quote Driver- TITLEIST TSR1 10° AD-HD 6s5 Wood- TITLEIST GT1 17° AD-DI 7sHybrid- TITLEIST TSR2 24° AD-HY 75s Irons- SRIXON Zx5 KBS Tour Lite 100sWedges- TITLEIST SM9 KBS Tour LitePutter- SCOTTY CAMERON Phantom X 9.5 Ball- BRIDGESTONE Tour B X
Doc Mcstuffins
I hit the J36's blades next to the J36 CB's and there wasn't too much difference forgiveness wise between the two. Loved the feel of them and am strongly considering ordering up a set. Stix
ob1soccer, do you have all blades or a combo set in the J36? Thanks.
Stix
Its weird, but not a lot of local stores carry Bridgestone irons so I haven't been able to demo the J36 blades and CBs much. But most everyone on here that have tried them seem to like them alot. I've also read similar things about the VR blades being easier to hit than they look but maybe not as soft feeling. Thanks for the info guys.
ob1soccer
I have the combo set, but the CBs look and play like blades, and the blades have the forgiveness of the the CB's. whatever set make up you get it doesnt matter because they all work. my buddy is a 7, and he has a full set of PC's and loves them. colangus
J36 blades are a serious deal on fleabay right now. Also look into the Macgregor pro-m's.
generalbolg
frankly, you cant go wrong with any of them. the stones are awesome, and can be had at a steal right now. IMO the callys are the most difficult to hit. the nikes are smooth as butter, look fantastic and arent too hard to hit.
Pure745
I'd rank em overall: 1. VR Blades2. J363. Clark
TW's VR by far is the best on the list... But what's best on the list may not be best for you... I'd assess what you need opposed to what you want... most of this stuff is already ranked in Golfsmith or TGW etc... My pref: I don't need the forgiveness as much as i do workability and distance... so I'd go with VRs personally... Only you can know what you really need... Neck injury.. ouch... 152 club head speed??? wow 60% apparently you swing faster than most pros at 60% damn!I usually swing my driver at 125 mph... but then again mines at about 85-90%.... Stix
I've never had a Nike club in my bag before, but there's always a first for everything. I do like the look of the VR blades quite a bit, but not the VR splits as much. Still trying to decide if a combo set is in order. I've been seriously considering the Cally X Protos, but recently hit them again and didn't quite like the feel the second time around. Guess its a good thing since they're quite hefty on the price. The J36 blades did feel nice the couple brief times I hit them, but didn't quite like the look of the head as much. The VRs are definitely more classic looking. So, I guess I'll be spending a bit more time with the VRs before pulling the trigger, just to make sure. Tai, once I pull the trigger, I'll be giving Nick at Golf Coast a call for the shaft work. Thanks!
GehenHerzog
I'd go with 1. Cobra Pro MB's2. J363. Callaway Proto4. Nike VR
Pure745
Stix: Now that you mention it.. My VR's are w/ Nick right now if you want to buy them.. I have either PX 6.0's (what I was planning on putting back in them) or DG S300's.. if you want them PM me and I can have Nick blueprint them for you too. Nick actually plays the J36 combo set so you can hit both when you're there.. btw they also have all the Miuras for you to hit too.. including the baby blades! Tupperwolf
I have 8-PW J36 blades and they are very solid. IMO they are also very forgiving, at least compared to the Mizuno MP-33s I had. Very consistent results. Shots struck a little thin (my usual miss with a short iron) go the same distance but with a little lower trajectory. Definitely workable if that's your thing with the short irons.
