Adams FP400F Retail??

I hear good things about the FW, but I dont really want to pay the high prices of the tour/proto clubs. Was a retail version of this released or will there be?? If so what is it? thanks

I wouldn't agree with that.

 

I think they feel pretty good and are certainly hot. Good FW IMO.

 

Even though I like the FP400, NOTHING has been able to kick the 5050 out of the bag.

I liked the FP400 as well but too big for my taste. I love my BTYs. Perfect size and shape and as long as anything I've ever hit.

BTY is a beat and pretty affordable. They are a little smaller and less forgiving but I love mine.

The FP300 and FP400 spun too much for Tour use. They initially wanted a higher launch low spin head with a normal face and head size. This one didn't turn out as planned. It looks good, but feels tinny and spins too much. The FP300 is the same head only more Face Progression, or offset.

Indeed the BTY Tour Proto is a good fairway wood. They have two head sizes though, in 14.5* that is. The larger head is very similar in size and shape to the FP Proto's.

My Bud on here can attest to the insanely high spin rate that the FP produces, give the XTD pro hyb/fw a try, its long and with the right shaft combo will be hard to beat to get out of the bag.

I think its one of the best looking clubs I've gotten my hands on, however, I can't hit it at all, I create no spin with it and it just falls out of the sky and I'm more consistent with the a4.

It is an awesome fairway wood if you put the right shaft in it......like the Voodoo XVS8 I have in mine.

 

It is having a battle with my 2007 Burner right now......going to be a tough decision.

The one you saw in retail was the fp300f. Adams was dumping those not too long ago at Dicks Sporting Goods.

I played yesterday and although I wasn't swinging it great I hit a couple of really good shots with my FP400F.

 

Mine was put together by a legendary club maker down here in oz, which I think may be the secret with most clubs.

 

My FP400F is solid and long and has knocked the TEE out of the bag.

 

I believe the FP400F to be a good, I think the real issue is the right shaft, and the right club maker.

Golf's a funny game. I played 9 holes this afternoon and absolutely nuked a couple of shots with my PF400F. One shot 260 yards. What else can I say, but I love mine.
