Rank the forgiveness

Titleist AP2, Tourstage Z101, Wishon 560MC

I've narrowed down my iron choices to the following: Titleist AP2, Tourstage Z101, Wishon 560MC

I am only interested in opinions relevant to the forgiveness of these irons. I am not concerned with feel, sole design, offset, durability, or the looks of these irons. I have ruled out other irons in this category (R7tp, J36, etc.) so your opinion explicitly on the clubs I have listed would be highly regarded.

I have not been able to hit the Tourstages or the Wishons, but I am willing to give them a shot unhit since they are considerably cheaper than the Titleists.

I've had all three sets - z101s with PX 5.5, AP2 with DGS300, and Wishon 560C with 5.5 Rifles. All great clubs. For me, from least forgiving to most it was Tourstage, Titleist and then Wishon. The Wishon which compares most directly with the other two sets is the 555C. I have a set of those now and believe for me they are the best performing irons I've ever played. Smaller head than the 560C and much more solid feel probably due to the "muscle pad" in the hitting area of the cavity. Good luck.

I've only had the Wishon's and Tourstage. Wishon's WAY more forgiving - the Tourstage 202's would be comparable to the Wishon's.

Owned the Wishon 560's with Rifles and hit a buddy's Z101's many times. No doubt the Wishons are noticeably more forgiving...probably more of a testament of how incredibly forgiving the Wishons are, not an indictment of the Z101's. The TourStages are fairly easy to hit.

Looks like you got some of the responses/comparisons that you asked for. I feel compelled to comment on the Z101's which I'm currently hitting. Although they are apparently the least forgiving of the 3 sets you mentioned, please don't let that scare you away from these incredible sticks. I hit MP-33's for many years and have just switched to z101's this season, looking to retain that incredible forged feel and control ... but with a bit more forgiveness. And that's exactly what the Z101's provide. Much, Much easier to hit than the MP'33's (which are a forgiving blade, by the way) ... but right up there with the 33's as far as feel, control and distance consistency.

Not to mention they are extremely beautiful irons if you can find a set in good shape.

I voted for the AP2s but if the vote was for distance I would have voted for the Z101s. In the same lofts these things are a halfclub longer for me. I dont know why but they are long.

if you're looking for a forgiving tourstage iron that's as forgiving as the wishon, look at the 07 VIQ model. slightly larger but extremely forgiving but still an awesome feel. i've got these and love them.

sorry to bump a very old topic but are the ap2s really noticably more forgiving than the tourstage Z101? i regret ever selling my z101's and would love something similar with a little more forgiveness
