Like NBC too ... let's just hope they send Dan Hick out to grab some coffee for Johnny Miller. Then lock the door. 4 days of listening to that dopes drivel is enough to make you wish for those hacks ABC used to have.

U.S open is my favorite tournament. When they had it at Oakmont i was foaming at the mouth for several weeks prior. I just love watching the pros play those layouts...not to see the carnage, but to see the guys who do well

it's a true test of golf at the professional level. frankly i find a winning score of -20 not very interesting to watch. PAR used to be a good score and that's what makes the US Open so interesting. :-)

The US Open is my favorite tournament. Its fun to see the guys struggle on tough courses...beats the heck out of -15 winning score for me. Like others have said its nice to see a winning score around par every once and awhile.

Ahhh, U.S Open fever has already struck me and I'm already marking off the days left with my red sharpie. This year at Bethpage is going to be so very exciting. Will Tiger return retaining his only Major? Will Bethpage Black live-up to the very tough course which it is? What will be the winning score? Will Villegas be looking sexy? Will a European finally win? Will Rory McIlroy step-up to the big stage and produce the 4 round's of his life? Why is the U.S Open so tough each and every year? Will the winning score be under par? All these questions will be answered in 8 days time!!!

So, apart from when I'm playing golf on Saturday and Sunday afternoon I will not move out of my sofa with the 6-7 hours of non-stop coverage on Sky Sports apart from getting up to go to the toilet, get more beer and snacks lol - I really love the U.S Open that much!

I've already booked the HDTV in my house for the full four days coverage on sky sports and even debating booking friday off work, to help recover from watchin all night thursday..........its a tough life watching golf LOL

Bring it on and lets hope TW brings home the Bacon!!!!!!!!!!

Well Gents- The U.S. Open is coming, and the final round also happens to be the same day that i am getting married. Here's the best part- i'm playing 18 in the morning and then tying the knot! The ceremony is at 4:30, so it should be over in plenty of time for me to catch the last couple of holes on the big screens in the clubhouse with my Dad. When we decided on a date one of the first things out of my mouth was "Honey, you do realize that the final round of the U.S. Open is that day." And she laughed! What can i say- i got lucky. BTW- for any guys in the delmarva area- i'm getting married at Baywood Greens if you happen to be playing on Sunday please introduce yourself. I'll be the guy in the Tux at about 4 o'clock. Hope this years Open even comes close to last years. Anyway- i can't wait to see how tough they set up Bethpage, and who the New York fans ride the hardest.

Congrats!!! But I think I would have had to pick another wedding date. Our anniversary usually falls on US Open weekend, and we have celebrated it several years by going to the Open and other years, SWMBO is gracious enough to scheudle anything we do around the Saturday coverage and if all else fails that's what DVR's are for.

What a great site for the wedding, we played there on the Saturday of Easter weekend, and as we were finishing there was a wedding reception going full bore up at the clubhouse. Many of them were out on the patio watching (probably wishing they were out playing instead of at the reception).

Enjoy the round with your dad, it'll be a very special weekend for you. Golf with Dad, and getting married on Fathers Day!!

Thanks for the well wishes, I appreciate it. Baywood is a beautiful place, and a darn good track as well. Talk about a full weekend, U.S. Open, Father's Day, and wedding. I am excited for all three- i don't usually get to see my dad on fathers day so that makes it extra special. The cool thing is that next year ( i think) the Open is going to be at Merion, so that would make a great anniversary present BTW- i had to look up SWMBO and almost fell out of my seat laughing, that's a good one.
